ashley is such a good roleplayer

like matt batted the focus over to grog and pike in the tavern and ashley IMMEDIATELY picks up halfway through a drunken conversation, travis instantly jumping in after her, & it’s one of the funniest goddamn scenes in the whole show

and then she hits us with that. and it’s still so funny! but also tragic and sad. and says so much about where pike’s head is at

like. ashley is so rarely able to join the table, & is even more rarely able to be there in person, but whenever she can she is just a light. she manages to get in SO many brilliant moments, be SO funny and show us so much of pike in just a fraction of how much screentime the other characters get and im just like.........

man. she’s giving such a masterclass on how to make your episodes count. she’s such a delight
