its been months since this started. my friend drifting away. im not mad, not at all. im not even hurt. its just exhausting, at this point. trying to reach out and engage.

my attempts lately have been half-hearted at best, and i think i might be done trying so hard. im not saying im giving up on the friendship- not remotely! i think im just too tired to keep reaching out. i feel like im running in circles trying to get an ounce of time from them.

and that's ok. they're busy! i get that. i just dont think i can keep trying for conversation when i get clipped responses. i think its just time for space and distance.
