Nothing in that Partner Showcase was for me, SMTV is pretty cool for loads of people that aren’t me anyway, and it does sorta establish that these Mini Directs can have like, big deal content in them, which is encouraging since they said in the Direct that we’d get a couple more of these throughout the year. I certainly miss the proper Direct format, but I mean, can’t really blame Nintendo when it’s fuckin coronavirus fuckin up all that shit.

By the way I read chapters 0 and 1 of Solo Levelling at the request of the same friend who got me to watch Kuroko’s Basketball, and it’s not really done anything to be special so far but I mean, we’ll see as I read more of it.

HxEros episode 3 was as annoying as always, I kinda wish I was watching the apparently slightly less censored version of this show since literally what’s the fucking point of an ecchi where you can’t appreciate all the hot girls because of all the bullshit they try to hide their bodies with, but then nyaa seems a little slow on those uploads so I’ll just stick to censored I guess.

War of Underworld 2 episode 2 was meh. We get a pretty normal start of everyone that dived into the game last time being all nice and uplifting to Asuna and everyone’s all “hell yeah let’s do this together!” which is all like, fine. And then we get like 10 minutes of IRL stuff with that science team dumping more exposition about how they can save Kirito by some Fluctlight and STL bullshit, and it all links to Alicization’s themes of the you that exists in the minds of other people being as essential as the you that exists in your own mind, which is cool I guess, don’t really feel like that idea’s existed before Alicization but that could just be my memory so, whatever. Followed by that is Bercouli’s epic sacrifice against Vector, fight looks pretty sick, the very thick outlines remind me of a Lerche show and aren’t really in line with what Alicization’s looked like so far but again it’s cool so, whatever. I think him stopping Vector is also an excuse to make Vector log in with his gamer account rather than the god one so like, that’s whatever. Also when Bercouli dies he continues his “I’m a father figure for Alice” thing but they also decide that Fanatio is his wife and hence Alice’s mother figure? That was dumb, don’t think that’d been established before, and it’s really annoying seeing a nice single dad and adopted daughter relationship be turned into, oh well it’s not a real family without a mother as well type thing, that was annoying. Anyway that’s the episode.

Holy shit I’ve not seen a fucking, normal pantie shot in ages, so many shows will just do everything they possibly can to skirt around ever showing them off, my god.

Anyway Uzaki-chan episode 2 was fine. Less fun than the first episode, but hey that dumb looking cat with the dumb reactions is gone at least. But then Sakurai’s boss’s only contribution is telling us how fun it is to watch him and Uzaki-chan interact which is kinda annoying since hey just let their interactions speak for themselves, yeah?

This is episode 4 preview shit but look, it’s the girl I’ve instantly decreed best girl, and she’ll be in episode 4 some amount, I’m really looking forward to that, this girl’s a fuckin mega cutie and even though I know literally nothing about her she’s my favourite.

Episode 3 itself was brilliant also, we got to watch cute girls play magic dodgeball and that’s about all I’ve ever wanted from anime. Lots of slapstick also and there are few things I enjoy more than watching anime girls get hit in funny ways so this was fantastic.
