My teammates call me crazy because I love the 500 and butterfly, like, butterfly is my stroke! I've been swimming it for years and it's better than my free times and fly is the best, even if I have to swim 200s of it in practice

Dude, power to you, fly is so hard. I did my first 200 fly in a race a while back (I managed to avoid it for 11 years) and I was dead after. I’m glad you found events you really like though!

FSU Swimmer Wins Gold for 200 Fly at ACC Championships

An experienced religious leader, Kirk McCormick serves as the executive pastor and chief operating officer at Royal Palm Church (RPC) in Lake Worth, Florida. Away from his leadership responsibilities at the church, Kirk McCormick supports various sports teams, including those of Florida State University (FSU), where his son is a second-year scholarship swimmer. In a recent press release, FSU announced that senior swimmer Connor Knight earned a gold medal for his performance in the 200 fly at the ACC Championships. His time of 1:41.66 was not only a personal best, but it also broke conference and meet records set by a North Carolina State University swimmer in 2014. With the win, Knight continued a Seminole tradition of claiming a gold medal each year, which the Seminoles have done since 1992 when they began competing in the league championships. According to the press release, Knight credited his win to hard work, the strong coaching staff at FSU, and the support of his teammates. Frank Bradley, FSU’s head coach, also commented that Knight’s hard work and race strategy yielded a much-deserved win.
