Watching a vid on the cartoon Doug and I am having two contrasting thoughts

"Wow this show in hindsight is very wholesome and adorable and very groundbreaking"

And the other is

"I can never revisit this show cause these shows leave such a bad taste for me "

And that really comes down to these kind of low key mundane kids learning about life almost slice of life animated shows never really connected with me

I didnt like Hey Arnold ,didnt like As Told by Ginger ,hated Rocket Power,hated All Grown Up ,I liked REcess's theme song more then the show ......Proud Family was good though not my favorite.I even tried an episode of Pepper Ann and I just couldnt enjoy it or connect to it

And I fully acknowledge this is a ME thing . I always preferred the really funny shows,or the dark shows or actiony show.Mundane slice of life in cartoon form Its just something I dont vibe with unless theres a twist.I get grumpy and weird about em

The closest would be Ed Edd n Eddy which was my fave but that was very cartoony and weird andI dont think counts

So yeah this kind of cartoon while charming are kind of hard for me to connect to

Whoever sees this,Did you like Doug and similar slice of life kids learning about life cartoons?Any cartoons you just couldnt connect too or vibe with

stupid toonjune pride month 2026 is ruined too much suggestion every day
