I was 19 and having a blast dying my hair and getting piercings (my parents never cared, but the catholic school I went to did). At 35, I'm still wearing my septum ring and have purple hair, so I look like this just with tattoos. I'll never outgrow this aesthetic lol

I wouldn't consider myself a scene kid, but my friend was. His myspace pictures were perfect y2k scene kid pictures!! Note his chunky bottle cap necklace and my Rage Against the Machine shirt.

Fall 2006, after Senior Homecoming. We pulled an all nighter and drove to the lake for the sunrise. We found a graveyard from the late 1880s, watched my cousin faceplant off the monkey bars, listened to Black Sabbath on our walk, and took a lot of pictures.
