Robert Sugden: Karl Davies (2004)
Young ‘Punchbag’ Sugden 🫣…
Violence is never the answer to anything.
Sure, Jack, sure. We believe ya 😒
And while you’re at it, you can tell me how many times you and Katie have kissed BEHIND YOUR BROTHER’S BACK!!! (Part 1.2)
Robert tells his (made up) side of the story that Victoria didn’t understand the situation and he also has a cover story about Daz. So many lies being told to cover the affair. Robert stops Jack from calling Andy by ensuring Jack it was a one off swearing on ‘his mother’s grave’ that there’s nothing going on with Katie, never has been, never will be.

And as for YOU… you’re a married woman. Start behaving like one. You stay away from him… and the subject’s closed. Now get back to your husband. (Part 2)
All hail the hypocrisy that is Jack Sugden (‘married women do not kiss other men’ and yet, Jack…) laying down the law to both Robert and Katie when he himself cheated on Sarah with Rachel (with no thought about her or the kids) but THAT is never brought up ever, is it? Jack essentially orders Diane to make post haste and get Katie to confirm Robert’s (bs) story. Jack grills Katie and he winds up throwing a chair and then it’s woe to Andy if he ever found out about them. Jack promises not to tell Andy anything as long as the two of them follow his EDICTS (conditions) of staying away and Robert moving back home.

Well, I’m talking damage limitation here. Tell him as little as possible, not the whole nine yards. (Part 1.1)
Jack questions Victoria about Robert and Katie’s kissing and what Robert did to her after he learned about it (shouting and threatening). Meanwhile, Robert and Katie try to work through ‘damage limitation’ and getting their stories straight. As soon as Robert comes home, Jack punches Robert and shoves him to the ground for what he did to Victoria.
Bonus: this is not the first time Jack hit Robert. He did it once before with Christopher!Robert on 09-Mar-2000.
