It’s all about the Irish today.
It’s a simple concept: Lucy is asexual, and she doesn’t want to be kissed. When she wears a shirt declaring as much on a St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl with her friend, however, she’ll meet two people with two very different reactions.
(Content notes: Contains harassment/unwanted advances, acephobia, and social anxiety.)

‘Paper Towns’ by JohnGreen is an enhancing story about a girl named Margo who goes missing.
Margo is fun loving and rebelious. She disapears every so often to go on adventures. One night, she crawls through Quinten’s window and they complete a long list of ‘tasks’ that Margo made.
Margo does not show up to school the next day.
After a week people start to worry. Margo never leaves for more than a few days.
This story leads Q and his best friends, Ben and Radar, along with their prom dates (who happen to be some of Margo’s best friends), to look for the missing thrill-seeker.
This story is a really fun read. It is suspenceful and John Green just has a way with words. I deffinatly reccomend this book.

2012 was a monumental season for books with the release of long-awaited novels from authors like J.K Rowling, Michael Chabon, Zadie Smith etc. Other writers like Davy Rothbart, Sheila Heti and Gillian Flynn also amazed us with their big-hearted, peculiar, and intimate stories. The overwhelming point is that they took risks and strayed from conventions which gave rise to new horizons. So without…
I was asked by a friend to give her some book recommendations for a trip she's taking, so I reviewed the books I have read over the past year and decided to post them for you with a sentence or two review. Listed in chronological order (of how I read them) following the break!
The Best of Me, Nicholas Sparks — So, so. Typical Sparks, light read, predictable.
The Lady of the Rivers, Philippa Gregory — Good. Typical Gregory, but continues an earlier story, which I enjoyed greatly.
Before I Go to Sleep, S.J. Watson — Interesting & different. Not my favorite book of the year, but definitely unforgettable.
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer — Sad, but good.
The Journal of Best Practices, David Finch — Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. An intimate inside look from a man dealing with Aspergers Syndrome.
The Rebel Wife, Taylor M. Polites — Good, but nothing spectacular. Light & easy read.
Fifty Shades Trilogy, E.L. James — Entertaining and sometimes uncomfortable reading. It's what you expect.
Lone Wolf, Jodi Picoult — Not her best work, not her worst. Enjoyable & light read.
Go Ask Alice, Anonymous — A refresher course from middle school on drug abuse.
Still Alice, Lisa Genova — A heartbreaking look at early onset Alzheimer's. Excellent.
The Fault in Our Stars, John Green — One of my favorite of the whole year. Incredible and stirring. Highly recommended.
Shadow of Night, Deborah Harkness — Light & silly sequel to Discovery of Witches. Nothing unexpected here.
State of Wonder, Ann Patchett — Loved this book. Looks into Amazonian research and the ethical questions of scientific & medical discoveries.
Looking for Alaska, John Green — Good, but very Young Adult. Not as enthralling as TFOS.
Game of Thrones/Clash of Kings/Storm of Swords/Feast for Crows, George R.R. Martin — The first 4 in the GOT series. Loved 1, 2 & 3, powered through 4. Taking a break before reading 5, because these are SO LONG and really took some effort to get through.
Death Comes to Pemberly, P.D. James — a "sequel" to Pride & Prejudice that falls a bit flat. Die hard Austen fans will not enjoy this read.
The Kingmaker's Daughter, Philippa Gregory — Really interesting and fascinating look at the rise and fall of kings & queens in medieval England. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
The Time Keeper, Mitch Albom — This was recommended by ignitestrengths who read it and loved it. I adored this book and highly recommend the 230 page book to anyone. It is heartfelt, moving and eye opening. Read this book.
Okay, I think that covers the noteworthy books I have read in 2012. Go forth & read. And if you have any suggestions for me to read in 2013, please let me know!

(If for some odd reason you're interested in a very detailed list, that can be found on theMovies I watched in 2012 tag and the Books I read in 2012 tag.)
This is the first year I really kept track this way, but I think it's pretty safe to say I probably watched more stuff this year than in any other (even if I didn't do a whole hell of a lot of reading). It was really good, if kind of annoying to keep track of. I'm considering doing it next year too.
But anyway:
Favourite movie I watched in the cinema this year: AVENGERS. DO YOU EVEN HAVE TO ASK?
Favourite movie I'd never seen before: Avengers again I think.
Favourite series I'd never seen before: I'm gonna go with Community even though I'd technically seen series 1 already.
Favourite book I'd never read before: Anansi Boys. I can't believe I hadn't read any of Neil Gaiman's stuff before this year. (Good Omens excluded. I think I read that for the first time last year.)
Favourite movie overall: I think either Scott Pilgrim, Tangled, Thor, or Legally Blonde. I watched them all so many times but they never got old.
Favourite series overall: Firefly omg.
Favourite book overall: Good Omens. I have so much love for this book. I'd ideally just like to be constantly reading it at all times.
Movie I watched the most: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.
Series I watched the most: How I Met Your Mother. E4 showed three episodes a day and I had it series linked. It was glorious.
Book I read the most: I don't think I read anything more than once, oh dear...
Least favourite movie: Sucker Punch. IT HAD SO MUCH FUCKING POTENTIAL. There were so many fantastic angles you could take on that particular story, but instead the guy that made it basically decided to make his own two hour long masturbatory fantasy, and UGH. I've never seen anything so enormously shitty towards women have the gall to try and present itself as empowering.
Least favourite series: Girls. I hate everything this show chooses to be. It was boring, unengaging, and uninteresting to the degree that I couldn't even put my finger on what I disliked so much about it. The entire show is just a big grey cloud of ugh-ness in my mind every time I try to think about it. IT WAS NOT EVEN ENGAGING ENOUGH FOR ME TO FORMULATE COMPLAINTS OR CRITICISMS.
Plus, I'd heard so much about how funny it was, but think I genuinely laughed only twice throughout the entire 10 episode run (at the scene with pot brownies that had jello shots on top. Because yeah. That was funny.)
Least favourite book: Not applicable. I liked everything I read this year.
