Oh man there's a tag for this? I'm down, let's go. I don't even know if anybody remembers me but I was there, Gandalf, etc. etc. I was just there as lavender-lapin or lunar-lavender, but if you remember a Lunar who was really into moths and lavender and doing magic with coffeeshop ingredients, that's me! Was me. Probably not the current me. It'll make sense in a moment.
So in 2013 I was a witch and pagan who was working at Starbucks and I had a girlfriend. I was pretty sure I was neurotypical. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had a shockingly clear, easy to understand ability to godphone. I was reasonably certain I was female. I didn't think of myself as disabled.
It's 2026. I'm still pagan and a witch, I guess? Though I couldn't tell you the last time I did something intentionally witchy or pagan. The beliefs are there, sort of, but part of me is also very skeptical these days. I'm too disabled to work. I have the same partner, but they're entirely agender. I've been diagnosed with ADHD and treated with medication for it, and I'm quite positive I'm autistic. I'm also quite certain that I have DID/OSDD and I can only imagine that probably made it very easy to 'talk to spirits' in certain cases. I'm trans masculine, I've been on testosterone for nine years, and my actual gender is a dumpster fire of different labels and feelings. I'm posting from in bed, because it's the easiest place to be right now.
I'm not even sure I'm the same person as I was in 2013. As in, not a metaphor, I may have entirely swapped to a different host alter since then. It's hard to tell. If you read my blog then and compared it to now, it's like seeing two entirely different people writing. I don't feel that Lunar was who Nevi is now. I think she might not be around at this point and it's all me now. The part where I don't remember much at all from that era is kind of supporting evidence for it, but then again, it's hard to say because I was on a lot of medication at the time that was scrambling my brain pretty badly. I'm a lot better on that front now and all the brain scramble is fully just my own.
But I'm actually doing really well. I'm still into pretty esoteric stuff, it's just more identity than practice now. I've gotten into a (very small, very old) fandom. My partner and I moved away and then back to almost the same place as then, just this time it's in a house that we own. Still disabled, same things as always. I'm not even sure what to report as far as things being new or different, because most of it would not be interesting to an onlooker. We've got three different cats now, and they're great, though I miss my old one still. I haven't even tried to work in about a decade because it's just not feasible with my body being the way it is.
I like where I've ended up. I'm a whole lot more stable than I've ever been, though it sounds from the DID/OSDD that I'd be less, but it's always been there. I can just recognize and manage it now. I like who I am. I've become someone I enjoy being. It's not so bad to be 42 and in a decent place.
I still, if I feel the need, work with the same spirit crew as I did back then. I don't mind mentioning Hermes. Still my home boy. Still the Boss Man.
I don't think I can mention the Demon Lady anymore in public by name. The atmosphere has really changed, which sucks, but it is what it is. I get it. I always tried really hard to not shit in my own backyard with my practice with her, but there are enough people who have that it doesn't matter if I did or not. There's no being "one of the good ones" anymore I don't think, so I just stay silent. But she's still with me. I'm still of her. That doesn't change, with or without being performatively pagan.
There was a while that I had an office job and got close with Djehuty, which was cool. I like him a lot to this day.
Anyway, hello to everyone who was around for those days in the weird goddamn trenches! I think we were kind of all dealing with a lot of undiagnosed shit, huh. It's the kind of era that I remember with an intensely bizarre fondness that I know for a fact means it was actually not good for me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I hope we're all doing better.
