Hey there!! 33-37 please!!! :D
Thank you very much! OK, I assume you mean the New Years one so, here goes.
33. Share the best drawing/painting/other artwork you made in 2014 You can find it right here (It is of Root from Person of Interest)
34. Did 2014 meet your expectations? Well, I got to see Willemijn Verkaik live as Elphaba in London and get her autograph, obviously based on that I got to go to London, I discovered PoI and a lot happened for Root x Shaw, and Korrasami basically happened. A lot of bad shit went down too, but I’d say that for me personally, its been a pretty great year. Also, I met some great people.
35. What’s the most interesting experience you had in 2014? Idk if this means fascinating or weird. A lot happened. Either London (like as far as interesting, the Tower of London because I like history and architecture), Hogwarts camp, or holy shit it was this year that I learned how to do stitches and took an ultrasound of a guys heart okay maybe that.
36. Would you say that you’ve changed this year? Yes, but not drastically. I think at this point I understand a lot more about myself and maybe I've also changed in some other way?? I think that it's hard to judge your own change.
37. What’s the bravest thing you did this year? Uh… I’m not really a brave person… Lemme think. Talked to people?? Informed my Spanish teacher about sexualities, romantic orientations, and genders? Maybe came out to a few more people? Went kinda camping even though there were spiders? Idk, a lot of stuff scares me… by which I mean almost everything.
Thanks for the ask! Sorry this is so late and some of these answers aren't really answers.
4, 6, 7, 8, and 14 for the 2014 ask
oh thank you!!
4: Describe your year with song lyrics
"Band-aids don’t fix bullet holes/ You say sorry just for show."
6: Best memories from 2014?
Going to Indy for the Fourth of July, with my family.
8: Biggest surprise in 2014?
When my dad m got cancer, it wasn’t a very good surprise though.
14: Who were the most meaningful people in your life this past year?
Luna and Kimmie.
1, 8, 9, 11-16, 24, 29, 35.
you didn't have me do math!
1: What did you do in 2014 that you’d never done before?
actually had an interview for a job, which required a cover letter and a formal resume and everything. i also jumped feet first into the job, which i haven't had any training for in about five years, which is well beyond my comfort zone. it's also led me to teaching kids in a school, which i *never* dreamed of doing.
8: What was your biggest achievement of the year?
the job thing. i haven't been steadily employed since May of 2013 (not that this is steady employment, i'm getting paid pretty much nothing, but so far it's led me to other forms of paychecks, so yay)
also auditioning for back bay ringers, and getting in!
9: What was your biggest failure?
i still can't fuckin' drive. i tell myself every year to do it and finally get my license, yet i disappoint myself every year.
11: What was the best thing you bought?
honestly? this black peacoat from H&M that i'm dreadfully in love with. my treat to myself this year.
12: Whose behaviour merited celebration?
of people i know? dear lord, all of my ladies. you all have helped me so much this year, supporting me through interviews and auditions and having literally no money to get myself anywhere. you've kept me smiling, helped me figure out how to get myself ready for an interview, endured so much shit from me, and you're all still here regardless.
13: Whose behaviour made you appalled?
that other mother-f*ckin' music teacher where i work. not so mud appalled, but it's frustrating being there and seeing what little he does to help students.
14: Where did most of your money go?
loans and bus tickets
15: What did you get really, really, really excited about?
my job, getting into the group in boston, and seeing students several times a week
16: What song will always remind you of 2014?
pretty much the entirety of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder ...
24: What was the best book you read?
reading Outlander currently. it's kind of my favorite ever.
29: What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
all of the above
35: Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014.
communication is the key to getting things done.
be freakin' grateful for what you have, it can all work out in the end.
1, 11, 31, 35!
1:What did you do in 2014 that you’d never done before?
... um. I'm struggling to answer this cuz much of my life was the same & bland but... working in a studio tho. Like forreal photographing in a studio.
11:What was the best thing you bought?
Well if I didn't get my Giants Holiday Sweater as a gift I would've bought it myself.
It's a tie btn. the /creepythread book, the Mark sweatpants, & saying "fuck it" & treating myself to some sorta expensive food when I really needed the self-care.
31:What kept you sane?
Toward the end of the year / semester: Interstellar.
For most of the year before the huge disenchantment period: Mark's channel & fandom.
For the most part tho: my mutuals. Like you, willardlol, oliviareddington, suntbone, psychophile, takayababy, & littledrummerspence were people I texted / LINEd / Facebook messaged when I was in shitty mental funk situations so thank you.
35:Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014.
Stay in your lane.
8, 31, 36
8: What was your biggest achievement of the year? Probably getting through 22 weeks of lupus treatment. It was a terrible time.
31: What kept you sane? Sleep and Netflix. And rereading The Fault in Our Stars a lot. And chocolate.
36: Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. Ugh. I have NO idea. There are a lot of lyrics that I love, but none that really sum up the year. It's been a crazy one. Please ask me. Please. I really love these.
Looking Back meme: multiples of four. ;D
Oh God are you for serious going to make me do math? Okay, here goes nothing!
4: Did anyone close to you die? No? I don't think so? Oh, actually, some friends from church-y places.
8: What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting through treatment alive?
12: Whose behaviour merited celebration? Um... Mine? Because getting through treatment?
16: What song will always remind you of 2014? TBH, probably all of 1989 will. And also the soundtrack and score of The Fault in Our Stars.
20: How did you spend Christmas? At home. Opening presents and hanging with Zoey, who got to meet my uncle (and his cunt girlfriend) for the first time. Eating. General family-ness.
24: What was the best book you read? The Fault in Our Stars.
28: What was your favourite film of this year? The Fault in Our Stars.
32: Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Um, Robert Beltran? (old crush, but a good one!)
