Week 8 - Dystopia

So this week in the dystopia project, I added drums to the instrumentation as although in free time still give an sense of rhythm. I also put an echo on the drums second beat to give an effect of an rattle, distance moving away. To do this I used the aux effects tool in logic and then time mapped the volume of this effect on the mixer. Originally before this the first drum beat had an echo but this didn’t suite the piece. I also added an panning on to the left for the strings and the piano to the right in order to space out the instruments. There are 2 audio files linked to this one has the echo on the last beat the other is just an single beat. Listening over to the song now I think it maybe best to remove this last beat.
