I’m a huge fan of cinema and of course before Oscar Ceremony I had to be prepared, so I watched (almost) all nominated movies from year.

Here’s my list of winners. Not those who will propably win, but those who would if I were the one to decide.

Best Picture: La La Land

Best Leading Actor: Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea)

Best Leading Actress: Emma Stone (La La Land)

Best Director: Damien Chazelle (La La Land)

Best Supporting Actor: Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals)

Best Supporting Actress: Naomie Harris (Moonlight)

Best Animated Feature: Zootopia

Original Screenplay: Manchester by the Sea

Adapted Screenplay: Arrival

Original Score: La La Land

Best Song: City of Stars (La La Land)

Foreign Language Film: Toni Erdmann

Documentary Feature: OJ: Made in America

Cinematography: Arrival

Costume Design: Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them

Best Visual Effect: Doctor Strange

Those are the most important for me. I don’t know enough to judge other technical categories.

Probably Moonlight will take the most important awards. This movie really was special, but shouldn’t get movie of the year. I really hope it will be La La Land because when was the last time that really joyfull or funny movie won Oscars? Does is always have to be drama?

Generally best movie of 2016 beside Oscar nomination in my opinion are:

1)La La Land,

2)Manchester by the Sea,

3)Nocturnal Animals

And also: Zootopia, Moonlight, Arrival, Handmaiden, Star Wars: Rogue One, 20th Century Woman and Captain Fantastic.

Here are my top 10 books of 2016! It was such a great reading year for me. I discovered Booklr and Bookstagram, which introduced me to an amazing community of readers and so many new books! I read 137 total, a new personal record. I can’t wait to get even more involved in 2017. A 2016 Favorite: Puro Instinct — Autodrama — Puro Instinct retained the dreamy qualities of their debut and married it with memorable hooks for a sophomore album full of pop gems.

A 2016 Favorite: Ariana Grande — Dangerous Woman — Max Martin and a army of producers and collaborators helped craft enormous songs for Ariana to soar over. The results, like the coming-of-age title track, or the stomping "Into You" were some of the best pop-r&b of the year.

A 2016 Favorite: ANOHNI — Hopelessness — Antony, now as Anohni, took nods from her work with Hercules & Love Affair and pushed it to darker territories with the help of the Haxan Cloak and Hudson Mohawke. Hopelessness at it's heart is a classic folk protest album, propelled by contemporary and often menacing sonics.
