I never really got into Fnaf because of the lore!! It was mostly because of the character designs of the animatronics that drawn me in,and I watched lots of the funnier,sillier,NOT lore videos!!! Mystfros Fnaf animations of them singing that was more just them dancing around,for example,as well as Redhatter’s Fnaf GTA videos and even a spesific Fnaf monster school series that may or may not be lost media right now!!!!!!
I think a good way to consider the Fnaf animatronics could be like looney tunes characters!! Characters you can just put in any scenario and it will be fun!! As long as itns fnaf,I’d love it and I LOVE seeing the animatronics in different environments!! There’s something fun about seeing your favourite animatronic goof around instead of just being scary ALL the time!! It’s refreshing-!!!
I think in 2020 there was a shift!! With the rise of FNAF VHS series,lots of people just wanted to be more serious,and started sneering at the more fun stuff,which was mostly made by younger kids!! People would be mad at people’s Fnaf Model recolour oc’s they use in SFM,or generally just not being super serious!! It kinda got boring!!
Nowadays I…don’t really care for the lore!! Who’s Edwin?? Mimic?? Huh?? I just have fun in my own bubble which I think is the best way to do fan stuff!!!!
Imm half theres something for everyone now,but all the sillier stuff seems to be in the older days!!! ONE OF MY FIRST EXPOSURES TO FNAF WAS THE FUN STU!!! THE DANCING ARIUND IN SFM STUFF!!!!!! I think they all have their own merit!!! I’m VERY tired of people telling you to stick with canon and never ever deviate ever. Sometimes I just wanna have these guys in my own story!!!! It’s FUN!!!!!
This is actually so real. I've like never though about that actually. I always go and like rewatch some of the older, silly videos, but I've never really thought about the fact that I don't really see those anymore.
I get like the occasional funny fnaf tiktok once in a blue moon, but yeah, I still don't see it as much. I know there definitely are still silly sfms and animations on youtube, but I feel like people kind of tried to bury that genre of fnaf it a while ago (2020 was definitely a shift)
I'd honestly put the blame on how much people hated security breach back then because it wasn't scary.
My brother used to be a redhatter feind 😭🙏 and I used to watch it over his shoulder because we used to like gatekeep youtubers from each other. We (I) used to get really mad if one of us 'stole' another youtuber from the other
