i think shipping the animatronic characters should be less frowned upon. 99% of the time its just “oh these 2 animals r so cute together” it has nothing to do with the kid ghosts. these animatronics existed for decades before the kids died. also i dont even know if the ones past fnaf4 are even possessed anyway

Exactly, like sometimes shipping is just fun and I feel like it was bound to happen with the fnaf games anyways with how many characters they have. I think in general the fnaf fandom just crashes out over things that aren't really issues. I remember when I was a kid my favourite ship was springtrap x mangle because I thought it made me so different and unique from people who shipped foxy x mangle 🥀🥀

When I was a lad, and FNaF 2 was being teased--I saw Toy Bonnie, assumed she was gonna be a girl, and refused to believe otherwise. Even when it was confirmed that she was a 'guy', I just...ignored that, because I knew what being trans was, and I was like "That's what TB is! She's trans!" (100% HC many robos as trans, and enby at this time, but TB was the one I thought about the most.) It's a bit silly of me, I know, but to this day I can't see Toy Bonnie as anything but a lovely trans lady. ♡

(I’ll be using they/them to refer to TB in this post as I don’t want to enforce my headcanons and disrespect yours by using He and I also don’t want to disrespect my own headcanons by using She, so I thought They would be a happy, genderneutral middle ground!!)

Not silly at all!! I completely understand the mindset! Looking back onto my attitude to TB as a child I always thought that they were a man who liked to present femme as TB was confirmed as a man and I didn’t like going against what Scott confirmed because I was a die hard theorist which meant following what was presented in canon to a T or be humiliated by the at the time 20 year olds in the fandom; but I feel nowadays that I headcanon them as nonbinary as I’ve noticed some of the ways I present myself matches their own and I’m sorta questioning myself again atm but ig the closest label for me would be genderfluid! Anyways enough about me-

You’re completely valid!! It’s been so nice in recent years seeing all the lgbtq rep people such as yourself have been applying to the robos!! As a trans person who kins a few characters it’s so heartwarming because I know that if it was like this when I was younger I probably wouldn’t of been in the closet so long and in a love-hate relationship with myself so just knowing that there’s someone out there who’ll look at a character they love, like yourself with TB and them being a trans woman in your eyes, it almost makes the struggle of being a trans kid worth it cause it makes the overall acceptance of HCs like this more accepted in the community, especially by our cishet allies.

Thank you for sharing anon!! I’m sure you’re not the only one. Similarly to Mangle and Funtime Foxy, there’s been plenty of speculation to do with their genders as well as TB so I doubt there’s a lack of people who think similar-mindedly!
