So I've pretty much completely neglected posting about anything fitness related lately. I am still doing 2016 in 2016. I'm running slightly behind on my mileage this year. I've been feeling a little stuck with my running, but I won't give up. I will need to put in more effort in the back half of the year to make my goal. I know everyone is fully aware of the shit that went down in essentially my back yard yesterday. I can't even begin to articulate how upset I am by this. Many other people have said far more eloquent things than I can, so I will leave it at, if it can happen here it can happen anywhere. Enough is enough. I spent my day off in the woods. Unplugged and without distractions. I hiked in Interstate State Park. The park is in Minnesota and Wisconsin with the St. Croix River running through the middle of it. The whole area was carved out by glaciers and has some really unique geological features. When I got home, I received my Amerithon swag in the mail. It's a virtual event sponsored by Run the Edge. It started on the 4th of July. I have a year to "run" across the USA. I'm actually completing this one with a team member. So I only have to cover half the distance. Hopefully being on a team will keep me motivated.
