#2018 resolution

(I really like Gundams, so I made sure to document it thoroughly hah.)

It was not really possible to photograph from behind because you had to enter (and participate) in the custom paint room, which someone was guarding. I would have to guess that the cape has at least “Enemy” on it, from the looks of the strokes. 

What I understand of the descriptive card is: “It’s not really a scene [unlike championship-winning customs which are usually a scene of war, desolation, beach, etc.]. You wonder “What happened?”, “Who did this?”, and it’s good to reflect on that. Who is your own enemy? If you get to know yourself more, you will realise some things. This was a masterpiece that came to mind with Mr. Suou.” - 薫 Kaoru

A few years ago, I remember hearing a discussion on the Kidd Kraddick show about Taylor saying she wasn’t going to date again until she found a guy she liked more than coffee.  I have no idea if she really said that.  However, I think that needs to be one of my 2018 resolutions with a slight alteration . . . . . I will not date again until I find a guy I like more than coffee and wine.

2018 : The year I finally decided to keep things on a lowkey. Keeping everything to myself, and experiencing everything for myself.

No more doing things for other people. I’ll do it because I wanted to and because it will make me happy.

What a year! I didn’t get a tremendous amount of games in this year, perhaps not even double figures. If memory serves I played a few games of Age of Sigmar, 40k 8th edition, some zombicide black plague, some x-wing and not a lot else. Painting-wise I did pretty good. I painted all 70-odd figures from warhammer spire of dawn, I’ve pretty much completed 123 night goblins and 20 spider riders. I painted a few Afghan modern 20mm, and I spent quite a lot of time sculpting bases and terrain elements for my latest venture convergemodels.co.uk which in hoping to get further with in 2018. Goals for 2018: I want to finish all of my Age of Sigmar models by the end of February, my necromunda gangs by April, and I want/need to get back to my 28mm french Napoleonic infantry and cavalry. I also have a bunch of pike and shotte models for pikemans lament, and the samurai game test of honour to paint up/try out.  I really want to get back to my game club on Mondays, hopefully every 2nd or 3rd week, and ideally the last Sunday of the month. We shall see…
