On this day, one year ago...
Today my day started with an eMeRgEnCy SyStEm InSpEcTiOn in my hotel. A lovely little melody played in my room. "Oh that's fine," I thought. THEN THE SPEAKER BROKE AND IT WOULDN'T SHUT UP
After the FIFTH TIME it did this I was like "Alright fine I'll get out of bed and leave FINE"
What a way to start the day 😭
I seemed to flit about today. I was coming to the end of my time in Tokyo and kind of running out of things I wanted to do. First, I went to Asakusa to do some souvenir shopping. I walked a little bit out of the way to go to this special chopstick shop as I was hoping to get some personalised chopsticks for my dad. However, none of the ones there were suitable.
I went to Yakiniku Like for an early dinner (what's new) and then went back to Asakusa to finish off some shopping.
Once I was back at the hotel in the evening, I had a really nice long chat with my mum, showing her all the things I was buying for people. We talked for over an hour and a half, just us. It was really nice to catch up properly. With the time zone differences, and with us both being so busy in different ways, talking like that was quite hard, so it was great to have such a lovely chat :)
