Step twenty - A normal day in the office
If there something I don't like is when I forget my glasses in some place (today in my work) and I need to use the PC or watching something, this is really boring me. By the way, all my workmates come back to work today early after them the vacation. At least, now the office is not too quiet anymore.
It's good heard noise in all the office again.

This happened today this afternoon (WARNING: SLIGHTLY GRAPHIC CONTENT.) Apparently a woman and her lesbian lover were fighting outside the mall either over breaking up or that the woman was only screwing with the lesbian. A while later, they went inside the mall, to where the woman was working and they were still fighting, worst came to worst, the lesbian took or grabbed a cutter to stab the woman, aiming for her face, but luckily she put her arm on the way, hence the blood on the floor. The aftermath that followed afterwards was what brought me to post this. I applaud the medic for quickly responding to the woman, applying pressure to the wound with resources around and I assume he was just also strolling through the mall. I saw one guard trying to respond by trying to radio other guards to block the lesbian from getting out the mall, to which they were able to. But this was not the issue. The issue was the medic was trying to tell anyone to call for the Red Cross Cebu hotline (495-4770) to respond to this, NO ONE WAS DOING ANYTHING. There were also guards just busy looking on despite the medic's pleas to call for the hotline, I would not want to judge but, as a security officer, is it also part of their training to know basic first aid? One guard was also confused with what to do, being dragged into situation like that unexpectedly. Typical Filipino reaction would be to huddle up, different reactions like 'Hala ka Ginoo ko' and even 'Yuck! Dugo!'. Annoying, but with the different backgrounds of life around, you can never blame them. Seeing that no help has arrived, I volunteered to call for the medic, given that I am not from here. The ambulance arrived, then the woman was treated in the ambulance. Bottomline is, in our culture, we tend to be complacent in times of turmoil. It is okay to treat the problem as part of our lives that we can just experience, then live by, but it is also much better to be prepared at all times for our sake and for others as well. That sense of urgency needs to be slapped on our faces, and on the lighter side of things, love hurts, like literally. #20of366 (at Gaisano Capital Island Mall Mactan)
I don’t know if I am getting stronger or just being dumb when I believed him when he said that he’ll never leave. Strong–thinking that even if he did go back at his words, I can still manage, or Dumb–that after all the shit and lesson in the past, I still believed this one.
