Created by DiC, the folks who brought you Inspector Gadget, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century was a Saturday morning cartoon staple for many of us ( 1999-2001).

Set in 22nd Century New London, Inspector Beth Lestrade ( yes, they are related) discovers a criminal she is after has teamed up with a clone of the original Professor Moriarty. Fortunately, she knows how to get help tracking him down. She just needs to reanimate the body of Sherlock Holmes…who is in a sort of suspended state, preserved in a glass coffin filled with honey. Watson wasn’t so “lucky”, but there is an animatronic Watson who holds the original Watson’s memories. This is a fun universe to play around in. You have an original Holmes dealing with life in an ultramodern environment, with a Watson who is similar, yet not quite, his Watson. And flying cars and moon colonies.
