1703 - den 23. Jan. nach Neustatt - Jan. 24. 25. Einem andern als Fürstl. Gemüthe würde der Abschied dreyer Durchl. Kinder auf einmal, von deren keinem man sich die gewisse Hoffnung des Wiedersehens machen konte, unerträglich gefallen seyn; Aber der Durchl. Frau Mutter GOttes-Furcht und angebohrne Generosität konte dieses so fern standhafft überwinden, daß Sie sich, und Dero Durchl. Printzen dem Göttlichen Willen, und dessen allmachtiger Führung überliessen, jedoch konte eine so bedenckliche Trennung in Ansehung hertzlicher Mutter-Liebe ohne merckliche, und schmertzhaffte Empfindung nicht abgehen. In dieser nun liessen Sie Dero Durchl. Frau Mutter die Ihnen indessen tausend Seegen anwünschte, und mit Dero Gebet beständig nachfolgte, zurück, und langten den folgenden Tag, unter der Begleitung Dero Durchl. ältesten Herrn Bruders ohne Anstoß zu Neuenstatt bey Dero Durchl. Herrn Vettern Friderico Augusto an. Dann es war so beschlossen, zuvorderst die hohe Anverwandten des Hoch-Fürstl. Hauses en passant zu besuchen, Sich von Denenselben zu beurlauben, und so dann ohne ferneres Aufhalten die vorgenommene Reyse zu continuiren. Allhier wurden Sie mit aller ersinnlichen Höflichkeit aufgenommen, und alle erwünschte Anstalt zu Dero allerseitigem Vergnügen gemacht. Da wurde das dasige berühmte Cabinet gewiesen, welches mit den schönsten und raresten Medailles, und andern Raritäten in grosser Anzahl versehen und ausgezieret ist, so daß es ein vortreffliches Monument der Tugend und Gelehrtigkeit seines hohen Stiffters Friderici, und seines Durchl. Erhalters und Vermehrers seyn kan. Nebst diesem suchte man auch die Durchl. Printzen mit Jagen und Balleten zu divertiren. Die Freude aber konte an diesem Ort nur darum nicht vollkommen und ungestört bleiben, weilen der Durchl. älteste Herr Bruder hier unter hertzlichen Embrassement sein Congè nahme, nachdem Sie sich noch den 24. daselbsten aufhielten, und so dann den folgenden auch von diesem Hofe schieden.

Any mind but a Princely one would have found the farewell of three Serene children, of which each one could not have the assured hope of a reunion, unbearable; but the Serene Mother’s fear of GOd and inborn generosity could overcome this in so far that she surrendered herself and her Serene Princes to the Divine will and his almighty guidance, however in consideration of genuine motherly love could such a grave separation not go over without noticeable and painful sentiment. In which they now left their Serene Mother behind, who in the meantime wished a thousand blessings upon them and who followed them constantly with her prayer, and reached in the company of their Serene older brother without incident on the following day their Serene Cousin Friderico Augusto at Neuenstadt. Because it had been decided thus to foremost visit the exalted relatives of the High Princely House en passant, to take leave from the same and then continue the planned journey without staying further. Here they were received with all imaginable courtesy, and all desired arrangements were made for their all-around enjoyment. There the renown cabinet was shown which was endowed and decorated with the most beautiful and rarest medals and other rarities in great number, so that it can be a sublime monument of virtue and scholarliness of its high founder Friderici, and its Serene preserver and multiplier. Besides this one sought to divert the Serene Princes with hunting and ballets as well. The joy at this place could however not remain complete and undisturbed, since the Serene oldest brother took his leave here among affectionate embraces, after He had stayed there until the 24th, and then parted from this court the following.
