Hey here’s a video from that YouTuber I like that goes in some nice depth about how Madoka makes us care about the characters suffering while Magical Girl Site is awful and doesn’t so maybe give it a watch if you’re interested idk
After an exhausting, freezing, rain-drenched couple of hours queuing in the rain, it became all worth it when Suede lit up the little room at the top of HMV Oxford Street. There were some sound problems to begin with and I think Brett's voice needs a rest for a bit before the big tour, but the show was once again full of power, energy and connection. Brett came to us again and again, danced around so enticingly and played a set mainly from The Blue Hour, a few from Night Thoughts and Bloodsports and also some from Coming Up!
Finally, my phone did not run out of memory. Here is my other favourite from The Blue Hour, 'The Invisibles'. While Wastelands is probably number 1 for me and it offers hope, this song makes me quite sad even though it has crystalline, elegiac beauty.
I'm gonna need a full explanation of the history of Bowsette btw
Lol not me but I mostly had how setheverman wanted to fuck regular Bowser in mind.
SETH EVERMAN WANTS TO FUCK BOWSER?
I love Emilia.
And I hope you do too, because today is her birthday.
Happy birthday, Emilia!
23 & 24 September 2018
25 and 26 minutes respectively.
Sessions on both days happened before falling asleep for the day. The excuse for not writing yesterday about the session from the day before yesterday ie 23 rd September, is procrastination. ‘Kept telling myself that I’ll write in some time, and then yesterday was over.
Besides, I couldn’t remember much of my meditation thoughts and experiences from the 23rd after I woke up the next day. In fact, until I meditated last night, ie the night of 24 September, I didn’t have a comparison of two sessions to understand why I couldn’t quite remember a thing from the session on 23rd.
It’s got to do with attention and the subconscious mind. The subconscious does provide a hurdle to one’s attention. The subconscious exists in a restful state. Our mind is able to weave dreams only when it rests. Unless you are consciously more relaxed than the natural state of subconscious relaxation, you aren’t going to remain attentive to your meditation. It may become a meditation session where one gets devoured by the age old mental habit of getting pulled into the distractions provided by the subconscious. The attention loses its battle for calmness to the relatively shallow state of weaving dreams. I believe that’s the reason why I can’t quite remember much from the session in the 23rd.
The beauty of meditating diligently is this. Realisations are offered freely by one’s mind when one observes the mind. It is easy to be attentive and better concentrated when one understands what the mind finds distracting. Thankfully, almost all of one’s dreams weaved by the subconscious can be marked as read without ever trying to read them ! One can leave the reading of dreams to Sir Sigmund Freud.
Last night, I did the 25 minutes weekday duration exactly like the night before. Since I was better surrendered to meditation, I remember better now. The last breath that I was to take (inhale), never happened. In fact, it was difficult to begin the closing ritual after the reminder bell rung at 25 minutes. Took my time and ended up adding an extra minute to the session. Cool. The calmness is so worth the effort to meditate.
