Ugh. Stayed up all night only to take a 5 hour nap and stay awake since then. Ate a big dinner. Now it’s off to bed. Night night! <3

Hey! I just wanted to say thank you so much for the 'Things sex ed failed to teach you' post. I loved how educational, positive, inclusive (!!!!!), and gender neutral it was. I'm interested in teaching sexual health, and I just love seeing posts like that. (also love your url). So yeah, thanks!
Aww, thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Hi! do you know of any other fics like Ryan's Books (super sweet, well written, domestic fluff, funny, optional side of Greg/Jeff)? It's my favorite ever.
I was thinking about this today and talking to cobracadabra about your request. We came up with Impulse (Ryan owns a CD shop, Colin meets Greg at a dog competetion, I loooved this one), Flight of Fancy (Colin is a famous TV cook, Ryan an airplane pilot, first ever fic I’ve recced on this tumblr because I’ve read it a million times) and A Strange Escape (Colin grows up in England and meets Ryan through Greg who touring in an improv troupe together) which are all kinda Ryan’s Books AU-ish. Also When Fate Intervenes (Ryan is a police officer, Colin a medic — this is super domestic and fluffy, you’ll love it) and Overcome, the Survivor AU (unfinished, but readable, also it’s the longest fic ever written in this fandom with 200000+ words). Also bb!domestic fic would be T’is the Season, one of the fluffiest fics in this fandom. It’s super cute. Also check out The Truth About Captain Hair which I’ve still haven’t recced “formally”.

Hey, This American Life (which is a podcast) did a 2-part episode titled "Cops See Things Differently" and it was really good. They interviewed both cops and black people targeted by cops, and covered both communities where police-African American relationships got really bad, and also communities where police reform made a positive impact. I highly encourage you to check it out. (sorry if this is a double ask, wasn't sure the last one sent)
I'll check that out for sure (yay for podcast apps!) and I can already tell that reform can do good, since the Seattle PD has been going through one since the unnecessary death of a Native man who simply had a whittling knife in his hand and was almost completely deaf, so probably didn't hear the officer tell him to drop the knife. The reforms have been to help people from racial to LGBT+ groups, to the point that SPD has even fired officers who haven't changed with the reforms because the new police chief isn't taking any shit from anybody.

Yo. Serious question time: Do the mods believe in aromantics? Can you be aromantic and still have a "romantic drive" (if asexual people can have a sex drive)?
For someone to not be able to love, romantic especially, is very rare and involves more than just not being able to love but also not being able to experience even empathy and compassion. This is something even psychiatry and psychology have researched and examined heavily in connection with various mental illnesses like dissociative identity disorder. While I do believe it exists, I also see tumblr taking something like this too far, because while I do understand using romantic orientations for asexuals to make it known who they are more likely to form romantic attachments to, being aromantic is something that involves a lack of more than just romance.
