i hummed along to the song playing while gently setting the brownies in the oven, and closing the oven door. i set the timer and dusted off my hands, sighing as i surveyed the mess i had to clean up. 

i was too distracted by the mess to notice a certain hyena-eared guy sneaking up behind me before it was too late. 

“clem!” a pair of arms lifted me into the air by my waist, making me squeak in surprise. i struggled against him before he planted his chin on my shoulder, and i made a face at him.

“ruggie,” i stated blankly, glaring at him. he stuck his tongue out at me and began swaying, and he rocked the both of us from side to side. “um... what are you doing?”

“enjoying the moment,” he hummed, instead placing his nose in the crook of my neck. i felt my face go hot and i struggled against him again, freeing myself and instead opting to sit on the cocoa and flour-covered counter instead.

to my dismay, he strolled right over and leaned in close to me. he set his hands on either side of me, giving me a sly smile. my face was growing even hotter, and i grimaced at him.

“what are you planning, ruggie?” i finally met his eyes, and leaned in to where our noses were touching. 

he stifled a laugh, taking my chin in his hand, “this.”

before i could even react, he leaned in closer and locked our lips together. 

i was too stunned to even react, and he pulled away after a couple of moments, still with that smug smile on his face. i opened and closed my mouth multiple times, making him laugh.

i huffed, growling and i tugged him closer by the yellow bandanna around his neck. i savored the surprised look on his face before i leaned in and kissed him. it only lasted a couple seconds before an ad took over my phone speakers, making me jump. 

we pulled away from each other, and he snickered at me. “oh - shut up you dumb -!” 

and, once more to shut me up, he pulled me in for a kiss.

Jungle Book - Any traits you’ve adopted from each other (speech patterns, fashion sense, etc.)?

Ok this one I actually need to consider more, but I feel like it would be cute if they started mimicking each other’s poses or finishing each other’s sentences after they’ve worked together for a bit! Also just the idea of Scarlet and Steelbeak being in sync especially when fighting is just so!!!!!! AAAAAA!!!! 

Hunchback of Notre Dame - Are you friends with any of your F/Os friends?

Steelbeak is the only person Scarlet likes in FOWL. In both versions. Maybe in DT17 she gets along with Gandra a little bit but aside from that? She’s ready to throw down with everyone. But then again, is Steelbeak actually friends with anyone in FOWL? I feel like no one in FOWL is really friends, especially in DT17. They all seem to be there for their own gain and I’m pretty sure everyone would sell each other to Satan for a single corn chip.

6- A scent you associate with your f/o that isn’t their perfume/cologne

Metallic scents due to the techno-organic virus inhabited body parts...simple earthy woodsy scents...very no frills. Straight up warm masculine man smell- the smell of sweat and grime and heat:exciting in an instinctual way. Secondhand army disposal stores, canvas, mechanic workshops, gun oil, leather and basic SPF30 chapstick. 

7-What colour do you associate with them?

This one is much easier to pin down! Army green like his military rain poncho. 

8-Is there a specific physical feeling you associate with them (flutters in your stomach, calloused hands, etc?)

Oh big yes to the calloused hands first of all. I am so enthralled by Josh Brolin’s hands irl- they just seem so muscular and solid and warm- and definitely rough and calloused from a lifetime of use. It makes me think about his age, his experience in life but also how hands that are so trained at war and violence can also be so gentle and even painfully careful handling a softness like my own.

  Cable has battle scars- I suppose most notably on his face so there is the feeling of tracing their raised, jagged edges under my fingertips. The feeling of all of his craggy weathered features under my hands- I am a sucker for wrinkles, laugh lines, whatever you want to call them- fingers over a furrowed brow or the edge of an eye crinkling with a wry grin.

 The rough scratchiness of stubble- everywhere imaginable. Surprisingly soft grey hair streaked with white (it’s extra fluffy in the morning) and the contrasting close shaved undercut that frames it. 

And of course the techno-organic parts! From running along the grooves of thick metal ropes that mimic back muscle to feeling the individual segments and plates of his hand close protectively around your own, to the gashes of tarnished silver that cord up his neck and spine... I personally feel like Cable has a bit of self-consciousness about being a person with TO but I think he’s y’know... Cable, who I love, so I love that part of him too, because it’s a part of someone I love!

she LOVES softball !!!! like she loves softball so incredibly much she joined when she was in elementary school and will not Shut Up about it given the chance :)

she also likes the occasional fistfight >:P she has 2 little siblings (theyre twins) so she kinda has 2 split them up. a lot. she’s used 2 kids climbing her and crowding her as well

her fashion sense is basically just a grunge/punk mix! she’ll somehow make anything work tho fjkdhfkjfd

when she gets nervous, she tends to bite her lip and fiddle with her dogtags

wehenever she gets the chance, she meditates! it’s not very often, but she does like to do so :0

she often has gum, a lollipop, or a piece of licorice in her mouth 2 help her sensory issues (she has adhd!  :3c)

he likes fostering animals and taking them in, nursing them back to help, and then giving them away 2 good homes :) (dont telll anyone tho hes supposed 2 b a ‘’bad boy’’)

he’s basically rhe ideal bad boy who’s basically a tsundere but has a weak spot 4 animals lmao

anyways besides tht he likes writing poetry + songs, photography and reading in his friends’ room or @ the library bc uhhhhh he doesnt have a good home life (as espexted) yikes 

his fashion sense? havent rlly figured it out yet but its probably gonna b leather jackets and combat boots, yknow? punk. 

ummmm unique habits ? he somehow attracts birds like a disney princess lol idk if tht counts or not but ya

he also takes photos of his friends when they least expect it (he’s gotten a picture of kiyoko actually smiling and blushing, and one of milo laughing w/ his head thrown back >;3c heheheheh dont tell them tht tho)

we totally liked each other from the get-go?? i was totally taken aback bc, yknow, alien- CURIOUS alien too who just has to be getting into EVERYTHING at my house & probably tried to eat my forks or something??? but he’s CUTE??? he’s pretty??? & he thinks im pretty??? aaaAAAA….

100% he initiated the first time we kissed?? he doesn’t understand it’s a big deal & just knows it’s something humans do when they like each other so he’s like “oh okay. i think she’s pretty so ill kiss her then” & just GOES for it randomly on like, the first or second day we know each other??? to which im probably like !!?!??!?! (but not complaining at all)

pet name wise i don’t think he really gets the concept at first but after me calling him “ET” “starboy” “rocket man” like 627293839 times he starts to understand im being affectionate & tries it out- but in his head it’s like “humans call each other things they like” so he’s calling me “flower” sometimes & “dish soap” other times bc what the hell he *likes* it & it smells good what do you mean that doesn’t make any sense???
