I really love the way Zach is written. Like, he isn't a perfect angel the fandom often protrays him as but he is still very much a sweet baby that deserved better 💔💔💔

Oh and gotta mention tbahd Abaddon too. Hot take but he's been infantilized to death and like, I get how that is kind of warranted but we barely know anything about the guy to be certain that he is just a demon equivalent of a child. Umm anyway I'm ranting but I just really like how you did the guy some justice.

I absolutely agree!! My hope personally is that if we do get canon vessel content that hes nuanced—so many people either lean towards perfect angel who does nothing wrong ever or evil puritan who says slurs and hates poc and I’m like do we not have any shades of gray here…? (Especially because everyone in hauho is characterized pretty gray and nuanced) so I’m glad its reflected in how I write him!! (I personally really want him to be mischievous and metaphorically “more open to possession” as it were but still a child, yk. I work with 9 year olds and some of them can be crazy but often times they’re good kids)

I also agree with this! He does act childish at times but I’ve always thought the joke is that he’s an adult demon (maybe not ancient but regardless) trapped in a child’s body and acts childish because he’s oblivious to human customs (considering canonically Nathan is the only person who ever treats him with decency lmao). It’s why I struck the balance between him being well versed in demon things and not in human things on top of being the demon equivalent of autistic (his shunning from most demons makes me think thats what his story is metaphorical towards—indeed not all autistics act childish but regardless that’s the clearest way to get it across for some folk so I can see why they chose that)
