Rather than host a birthday party, I invited my friends to join me at the Tukwila Pantry to celebrate International Have a Hart Day instead. It was a wonderful morning of helping sort and stock food, and deconstructing and recycling old boxes. I’m grateful to have people in my life that support volunteer efforts. Moving forward into this new age and new year, I want to make a more conscious effort to help others where able.
