◇ Summary:

Lindsay washes Gwen's hair, and Gwen decides that she shouldn't judge other girls just for being girls.

◇ Why I recommend it?

Gwen introspection is very good, and different of others I had read! I also like the exploration of mysoginy in woman characters, Gwen is an interesting subject for it. Also!! Lindsay being nice and helpful, love her.

◇ Summary:

Emma, lesbian, wants to tell her sister that she is, indeed, a lesbian, and not get accused of being in love with her friend Courtney, whom she does, admittedly, have a slight crush on.

◇ Why I recommend it?

The writing is beautiful, poetic, and very direct. An exploration of Emma's emotions and her sexuality, with a bit of comedy by Kitty!

The sixth prompt for Total Drama Fic Rec Week 2026 is your favourite character studies.

A character study is a fic that studies a character: explores the character, their motivations, their personality. They tend to be quite introspective. How does Alejandro feel about his family? What does Bridgette think about Alejandro booting her from the show? Who is Zoey?

Why? These are one of my favourite types of fic and are often overlooked for more plot-driven fics. They are also challenging to write, and those who write them well should be celebrated!

Day 6: Favourite Character Study

Today is the day to celebrate character studies! Fics that really dig into the psyche of characters from Total Drama, exploring their motivations, their woes, often through the lovely tool of internal introspection.

What was Courtney thinking during World Tour? How did Total Drama challenge Noah? How lonely, truly, was Zoey before the show? And what motivated Bowie?
