#2798#kirby makes stuff#kirby#daily kirby#my art#digital#hal laboratory#nintendo#my wife said I can use tax return money on a melikestea preorder#I gotta fit in as many colors as I can! as cohesively as possible!#people do not design enough stuff with more than one or two main colors in it.#a monochrome coord is easy mode give me 3 colors! 4! 6 even!#the one I have sketched out is 8 different colors#(for the dress itself - if I was making a proper coord there's so many additional places for more colors or different shades)#just remember your color wheel when picking what colors go where and you'll be fine#(if you're going pastel you want neighboring colors beside each other)#(putting 'opposite' colors together makes them brighter)#(white further softens things and black makes them pop)#(they are colors for the purposes of this exercise)#(you can also soften things by having similar saturation/brightness)#(although ofc that isn't gonna appeal to ppl with limited color vision if the only differentiation is hue)#(I have Opinions about colors and I do try to temper my instincts a little bit to make my drawings more legible for others)#also green is terribly underrated as a pastel.
