Mini Concert Diary (27.08.21)
Key words of the night: Expressive and Thankful.
Shout out to the people that cheered the "Yeah yeah yeah" mic test with that technician—we were so ready for music 😅.
Brooke (who took a peek at us from the balcony before taking stage) was shy but warmed up as we all warmed up and played her single A Game first (ballsy!)
She also covered a Monkeys song (why'd you only call me when you're high).
We all danced to her cover "Yes sir I can boogie" and the break before Miles came on were like salsa songs I loved it.
Miles played the same blue guitar Brooke had. (I guess it's a good one!) *Yes that telecaster thing!
He thanked everyone and said how the last two years had been torture ("an absolute f*cking nightmare") without this.
He was talking a lot, engaging us and that, and I heard someone next to me say "He sounds Irish!" 😂 (he sounded like himself).
Miles was ALL IN. Aggressive on the mic at times (Come Closer 😳), passionate I should say. He did all of it. Really wanted us to sing along and finish the lyrics and the audience delivered! (I tried my best but my strengths are in Coup de Grace songs).
He looked up and ahead (to the balconies?) when he started to play Aviation.
Mosh pit 😭😵.
Bendy back boi!
New single was brilliant live! I would have liked Paul O Grady recording louder, but bro I was Vibing with it! The bongos were so cute looking, loud and clear.
He was walking all over the stage for the Frank Sinatra song (That's Life), and wow that was ❤🧡💛 class, he took the mic off and all! Meant every word he sang. I love that song too much.
Don't Forget Who You Are was a special song, poignant...I think that ended the show.
Shout out to the people he shook hands with in the front row, the person he gave his guitar pick to, and whoever caught the second one he threw into the crowd at the end. Class all round. He's back.
♥ ♥ ♥HAPPY BIRTHDAY, you awesome, lovely, beautiful, angel!!!!♥ ♥ ♥
