February 2:  Coffee Shop AU

Pairing:  Natasha Romanov/Wanda Maximoff Word Count: 100

"Do I need to show you how to work the cappuccino machine again?" Wanda asked, the humor shining through even though she had on her manager pants.  

"Do I get a hands on demonstration?  I learn the best that way…" Natasha teased.  

Wanda stepped up behind her, running her fingertips down Natasha's arms as she moved them into position. "I assume you don't need help making espresso?" 

"I think I've got it, but if you wanted to show me how to grind the beans again, I wouldn't stop you."

"You're a wretched, terrible flirt.  We are working," Wanda chastised half-heartedly.

February 13: "Go away."

Pairing:  Hermione Granger/Pansy Parkinson Word Count: 100

"Go away," Hermione snipped, her heels clicking almost haughtily on the tiled floor as she made her way down the hall.  

"Not until you tell me what's got you so bothered,"  Pansy said, having to practically scurry to keep up with her.  "You don't strike me as the type to be so unreasonable."  

"I'm not being unreasonable," Hermione argued.  "I'm just not going to your mother's dinner party. She's a boar.  And a bore.  And I refuse.  No matter how much I love you."  

"Oh, that's why you're all huffy?"  Pansy laughed.  "Thank Merlin.  I didn't want to go either."

February 23: Orange Sunset

Pairing:  Darcy Lewis/Sif Word Count: 100

Darcy plopped down beside Sif on the soft, spongy grass, dropping her head to Sif’s shoulder.  “Just look at that sunset.”  

Sif smiled fondly, letting her head rest atop Darcy’s.  “Indeed.”  

Reaching for Darcy’s hand, Sif laced their fingers together, rubbing her thumb softly across the back of her hand.

The sunset was orange and gold and red and all the colors in between.  For a long moment, the world was on fire and it was beautiful. Sif sighed happily as the sun creeped down beyond the horizon and the sky changed from red and orange to purple and blue.

February  1:  Fairytale AU

Pairing:  Cho Chang/Hermione Granger Word Count:  100

Cho lingered at the water's edge, surprised to see the mermaid there once more, lounging on her belly on one of the smooth rocks, and thumbing through what looked like a very waterlogged book.  

"Hello there," she ventured.  "Hello again."  

The creature looked up, locking eyes with Cho.  "Cho.  You came back."

She gripped the book she'd recently purchased in one hand.  "I thought you might like the sequel…I don't know your name, but I know a reader when I see one."  

The mermaid smiled then, pushing one long lock of her hair out of her face.  "My name's Hermione."

February 10:  “I don’t care.”

Pairing:  Darcy Lewis/Peggy Carter Word Count:  100

Peggy's lips found Darcy's, hot tears sliding down her cheeks as she forced herself to let go of the other woman.  The time vortex was swirling behind her.  She had to go back.  Darcy's work here was done, she had to leave her now.

Peggy knew she'd have to let go of Darcy eventually.  Even from their first kiss, it had just been a countdown till the end. It was fixed.  

"Go," Peggy urged, releasing her.  "They're expecting you now."

Darcy glanced back at the vortex over her shoulder and shook her head.  "I don't care.  I'm not leaving you."

February 9:  “Don’t you dare leave me.”

Pairing:  Darcy Lewis/Hela Word Count:  100

"Don't you dare leave me," Hela hissed, yanking at the shackles around her wrists.  

It pained Darcy to see her like this, but there wasn't much she could do for her.  And the dudes behind Hela's imprisonment weren't about to let Darcy stay down here in the dungeon with her.  "You know I can't stay with you… I have to find us a way off this planet."  

Hela's eyes flashed.  "If I stop resisting, they'll suspect something… a little showmanship is all I ask, Lover."

Darcy gulped, hardening her gaze before turning towards Hela's captors.  "Let's go…" she practically snarled.

February 27:  Indigo Dreams

Pairing:  Hermione Granger/Nymphadora Tonks Word Count:  100

Tonks ran her fingers through her short hair, changing the color from pink to a deep bluish purple.  Indigo.  It matched Hermione's dress perfectly.  

"Better?" she asked, grinning widely as she reached for Hermione's hand.  

"Perfect," Hermione breathed softly, tugging her fiancée even closer.  "You're perfect."

"No, you are, darling.  That's why I had to change to match you," Tonks said with a wink.

Hermione tilted her head slightly, rolling her eyes before squeezing her hand.  "Are you ready?  To announce this?" she nodded towards the door, where a room full of their guests waited.

"More than ready," Tonks replied.

February 21: Forget-Me-Not

Pairing:  Darcy Lewis/Pepper Potts Word Count: 100

Pepper was hurriedly shredding documents and packing up her desk.  She was doing it as fast as she possibly could, with no time for thinking about anything else.  Especially about what she was leaving behind.  Or whom.

A lump rose in her throat whenever she thought about moving across the country and leaving Darcy here.  But it was safer.  At least for now.  

There was a soft knock at her door and she looked up, surprised to see the object of her thoughts standing there, holding a vase of forget-me-nots. Looking like she was about to cry.  

“Darcy…” Pepper murmured.
