The Welcome To Night Vale Live Show Miracle
My best friend Ellen and me are from Germany and currently staying in a Hotel in London with our english class. It’s the last school trip before we will hopefully graduate next year.
So when we found out about the Welcome to Night Vale Live Show in London we HAD to go see it but we couldn’t get tickets in time.
So on the 29th September we went to Union Chapel with the intention of buying tickets for the next day at the box office. Turns out they don’t really have one. BUT there already were a few people there so we decided to ask them for help.
The group of people we met there (we actually gathered more and more people around the longer we stayed) were lovely and so so nice and kind and genuinely some of the most wonderful people we ever met. So we decided to stay and wait if someone would try to sell any spare tickets for the show. We ended up staying with them for more than 4 hours
Then the first amazing thing happened: Someone taped a Free ticket to a lamppost on the other side of the street. We got up and went there to get it and we found it.
But now we needed a second one. At this point I should mention that neither of us is really confident but we still wanted to walk down the queue to ask for spare tickets so I decided to ask some of our new friends if they would come with us.
That’s when luck hit us again. We got another ticket from a parent that was with one of our new friends.
And we got it for free because she was lovely and...well Ellen literally started crying right there in the middle of the street because she was so happy!
So we ended up with 2 free tickets, the opportunity to be part of this incredible show, seats in the front row, a poster signed by all performers of the evening, Welcome to Night Vale T-Shirts, photos with Cecil and Jason and a bunch of new, amazing friends. It definitely was one of the best days of my life and I had such a great time that I’m still wondering if I’m just dreaming all of this. I wanted to thank you all for this fantastic night, I’ve never been so happy in my life!
