It's such a small scale instance but the other day I heard a coworker complain about RAM prices and the day before that heard him talking about how he has ChatGPT premium or whatever the fuck and it's like oh that's who I'm sharing this existence with huh
I consider myself fundamentally an optimist and I'm never going to not find joy in the experience of living and surrounding myself with things that make it all worthwhile for me it's just like long-term good of society, humanity, and the planet earth as a whole - that's where I think those in power have just completely fucked us over and between themselves and those that somehow support them, the rest of us are just fucked.
