New bike day! Say hello to my new (to me) Trek Full Stache. I got a taste for 29er+ hoops when I put a pair on my Surly Big Fat Dummy and really fell in love with their climbing ability with the Trek 1120 I landed this summer. This has a very similar geometry and feel to the 1120, but with 130mm of full-suspension joy. The monster truck tires with short chainstays are perfect for the burly rock gardens that abound in Eastern Mass. I’ve already cleared three different rock sections on my shakedown ride that had given me fits in the past: one I’ve never cleared until today.
