This had always been awkward. On one hand, Beerus owed Seventeen an immense favor, as not only was his participation vital for the success during the Tournament of Power, but his wish was what truly ensured the continued existence of multiple universes and those that resided within it. Including his own, and Champa's. It was a feeling he thoroughly disliked, as it was if he was on the backfoot, and with the cybernetically modified human not seeming to care too much about the whole aftermath of the situation, it only drove him to be even more bothered.
It'd be far too easy to brush this whole thing off. He was a god, Seventeen was a mortal, he merely did as was expected in service to keep existing. But not even he could abide by that logic, it was now a matter of pride.
He had to pay him back.
After several seconds of silence, his eyes draw to the man, and he finally speaks up about a subject he would otherwise avoid.
"Well, it's been long enough hasn't it?"
He demonstrates no patience, only letting a second go by before he speaks up.
"It's an extreme rarity for a destroyer to ever owe a mortal something so-- Speak now, or lose out forever!"
Smash or Pass + No. 17! If I have to put Sev on the spot about this topic then you and Nina have to suffer with me; them's the rules.
Send Smash or Pass + a name and my muse will say if they would smash or pass on that person.
Brows instantly furrow, the request ruffling her metaphorical feathers. Color quickly seeps into her cheeks, and she huffs, arms crossing. In truth, this name isn't the worst she could have received for this game -- but that doesn't make this any less embarrassing.
❝Look,❞ she begins, as if about to disclaim something incriminating. ❝Seventeen is…❞ She mulls the words over in her brain, searching, or perhaps trying to soften the embarrassing blow. ❝Attractive. I've always thought that, even from when I was a kid. So, that opinion hasn't changed.❞ Her eyes draw away, cheeks growing hotter.
❝S-so, yeah-- I'd… I'd say smash. But it's not like something I'd actively pursue, we're just friends.❞ She shortly pauses, afraid that may be overstepping. ❝--W-well, at least, I'd like to be friends with him. I don't know how open to the idea he is, but I'd like to try reaching out to him. I know he's more of a loner type, but… having friends is always nice. I'd like to give him nice things.❞ As her smile softens, she maintains a moment of true genuine intent, but her brain shortly ruins this with a flash realization of her phrasing.
Something akin to guilt almost taints her curiosity. On a strong whim, she had decided to stay behind while her friends ventured back to their allotted camp, purely because she needed to see if she could truly trust her eyes. The fact that she could run into him of all people, here of all places, left her dumbfounded enough and fueled her anxiety-driven curiosity. To see his face again after all these years… she wasn't sure quite how to feel.
❝Sorry,❞ the guilt finally overrides every other feeling swirling about in her brain. He could be living a peaceful life now, after all. Who was she to trample all over it? ❝I didn't mean to bother you, I just… was surprised to see you again.❞
"They're. . .like me." There's a familiarity to the android, viewed through the camera as they were. It's in the hunch of the shoulders, the flatness of their gaze, the way their body leans into each motion. But they're different, still. There's a spark to them. A flourish that even their minutely efficient motions can't disguise.
They're different.
But maybe they're similar enough to connect. After all, the outworlder hadn't managed to make a single one yet. For now, though they would do what was most comfortable for them. They would watch and wait and think about if the wish they'd been burdened with was really worth it.
4) How do you explain rp to someone in the real world?
I have actually had to do this -- explaining RP to my fiancée was a trip. I explained it as basically crafting a makeshift book together; we take two (or more) characters, and write out a back-and-forth based on an interaction or overall story concept. I'm trying to write out something with the ankian boys funnily enough with her. she doesn't entirely understand yet, but I'm hoping that it makes more sense in practice for her.
7) What’s your opinion on call out posts?
I'm... hmm. I don't really know. I haven't seen one in a long while on this platform in particular. It... depends, I suppose? These can be used for smear campaigns just because someone is hurt over something so minor, but they can also be used to inform and educate others on someone who may be potentially very dangerous/has outrageous behavior. That said, people are capable of change if they wish to do so, and so to some degree I feel callout posts CAN be unfair or unjustified. Like, unless the matter is serious, keep it private, see if you can work it out among yourselves first.
12) Have you been involved in drama? Do you regret it?
uh. gonna throw this one under a read-more--
it's been a few years since then, so a good number of people don't know about this (while those who have been Around Awhile may remember) -- I had something of an altercation with someone on this platform who I thought I was close friends with for a few months to a year.
to call it 'drama' honestly feels undermining, because it was very real to me, to the point it triggered PTSD reactions in me and made me realize I had PTSD in the first place. tl;dr, as I remember it, there was one day I spent with others instead of this person, and that resulted in a total meltdown from this person. I asked for space because I was heavily triggered by the onslaught of demeaning insults and demands that I apologize. I was DM'd, I was called (on my phone, through my phone number), I was sent items like gifts and food to my house (for some context, I had housed this person for about a week to help them get out of a situation, so they knew of my address already), I learned awhile after that this person had gone to other people in order to get to me. I stepped away from tumblr for a little while. In that time, my friends were harassed, as was I. Eventually, I had a call with this person, to try and clear things up and maybe try to fix any problems, and they were just... unreasonable. That was the last time I ever contacted them, but not the last I'd heard of them. They proceeded to launch a smear campaign of me on this site, to luckily no avail.
I was fine if they decided they wanted to keep writing here. I didn't mind that. I encouraged people to still write with them, I wanted them to have interactions, as long as we stayed separated. I haven't heard anything of them in at least 2 years, I think.
As for regret, I... well, of course I regret it, to some extent. I wish it hadn't blown up as big as it did. I wish it hadn't happened at all. But, part of me also fears for if it didn't happen, and what state I'd be in now if that didn't happen. I don't think about this as often as I used to, but every once in awhile, it still crosses my mind and makes me incredibly sad.
