Writing Initiative #1

When I research the definition of trammel, animal circus is one of the topics that I can feel connected to the word. It makes me think of wild animals are chained in cages, and they lack freedom. I think print media can be used as an ad of circus animal cruelty awareness to reflect the word trammel.  

I want to explore the materials that give the fear of touch and warn people about the danger. The metal wire mesh can be one of the options, its sharp edges make people avoid them, and the surfaces compose of woven or diamond shapes, which reminds me of the fishnet, another object reflects trammel.

2D Assignment

I was inspired by the Animals are not clowns, a circus animal cruelty awareness ad campaigns of LDPA. The idea against the entraining image of circus posters that usually show. A clown face is put on an animal to educate the public about the unhappy wild animals and put an end to travelling animal circuses. Wire mesh will be added as another material covers on poster’s surface, suggesting the sense of being trammelled of circus animals.
