bad arcaea scores bcuz of work today sory (i just wanna get rid of my stamina...)
but then after work, i saw my mutual was hopping onto EZ2ON to play for a bit . tempted to grind out after a Long Days o' Work, i asked if he wanted to play some EZ2ON multi for funsies, and he said yes!!!! so i cleaned out my keyboard beforehand, plugged in my external SSD, booted up the game, and absolutely GAMED!!!! stole some of the scores i got during this session from this post, but Shoutouts to @inksserafim for some BANGER matches and scores!!! had fun and got to witness the Sheer Power of this beast, go go check him out !!!

Today is the day... the final day... the day we would finally wrap up this absolute hell of a year and enter the new year 2025 on a completely new slate . It's honestly still really shocking just how fast the year went by, and (as of the 2025 where i'm writing this post) it still doesn't feel anything like a new year . well, i guess that's a given, right? not like a new year really changes anything... except maybe giving a new beginning/clean slate to start on some resolutions and set some goals!! so in that case, i'd say it's still pretty important!!! i've got several ideas for goals i'd like to shoot for this year, mainly ones in my real life that could really use all of my focus, so i might be a little more lenient with my goals in regards to rhythm games this year... but i'll still set some tough and significant stuff for me to achieve this year when the rhythm gaming goals come around, so stay tuned for that later today!!!
the scores today...! ...started off pretty weak, in all honesty . i was just trying to complete some challenges for a silly little arcaea community server and so the scores themselves aren't very good, but i guess there's a few easy song upscores due to one of the challenges??? one being Dement ~after legend~ (FTR-7+, MAX-10 -> MAX-6), the other being Brand new world (FTR-7+, MAX-7 -> MAX-4), both definitely MAX-able in the near future... maybe i could go for more MAX scores as part of the new year??? there's also a bunch of plays on Prayer while helping a friend with another challenge, including a MAX score on the PRS-5 and a MAX-1 (tragic) score on the PST-2!!!

given what was just about to come, however, these Arcaea scores above were less of the spectacle of the day and more of a warm-up for things to come... i wrapped up the arcaea gaming as i finished depleting my stamina and was about to head out into the open of the house to ring in the new year with my super loud family... that was, until talking in the Hajimeli Hideout server for a bit and making jokes with the other members gave me a VERY daring and VERY silly idea for wrapping up the year... what if -- despite only having 17821 rating at the time of getting this idea -- i managed to grind my way up to 18000 rating before 2025 approached in my timezone?
fufufu... delightfully devilish, 2dkaps! but how were you supposed to achieve that with only 5 hours until the new year and a bug that made the final chapter song unplayable (and also your skill level lol)? that's a good question, and as for the answer... i didn't know . i honestly didn't know why i was doing this or if it was even possible, but each new play i got only served to synthesize the planted idea deeper within my brain . like, just recall the rating i had before this whole run started: 17821, only achieved by playing through and clearing Class 12!!! and even before that run, i was only at 17717 rating at the start of C5P1, and 17762 by the time i unlocked everything in the chapter!!! it was still quite a long shot away from being achieved, sure, but i believed in myself... i believed in the grind... i believe i could legit pull this off .
and so, with a peek into the final chapter folder and the songs i had to defeat along my path, i got to work!!! starting with a sightread on one of the new node songs, ULTIMATUM [FIN 16], where i got a sweet sightread near-FC and near-V rank -- a lot of rating to start with right off the bat!!! and then it continued with my first S+ (and 999k) on B3611V [ENC 16+], getting me to the 17850 mark already!!! 4 hours left on the clock, so i had to act faster if i wanted to make it in time . looking to the Phigros Soundscan songs for inspiration, i targeted and got quite a bit of rating from an SS and SS+ (1.002M -> 1.005M) on Distorted Fate [ENC 16], followed by a somehow way better sightread score on Rrhar'il [FIN 16+] that pushed my rating from 17868 to 17896??? hah???? ...well, i'll get to my slight concerns about that one later . doubting my ability to repeat my performance on the chart due to it being Rated a 16+, i set my sights on yet another newly unlocked 16+, SENT://INEL [ENC 16+], to boost my semi-poor score on it, and i managed to upscore it to a clean SS and broke the 17900 rating barrier with 17903!!!!
whew! now here's a quick split in images because writing that much in back-to-back paragraphs is probably very dizzying . however, this also serves as a safe space for me to complain about Rrhar'il [FIN 16+]'s rating and why i think it's placed so awfully high... now i appreciate how much it boosted my rating and i really do love the chart, but to rate this a 16+, the second-highest visible difficulty in the game... feels way too ridiculous . to be fair, i should've seen this coming given just how confusing and conflicting the scale has gotten since probably v3.0, but it's the culmination of nonsensical ratings and inconsistent difficulty that make this the straw that broke my camel's back... it's not a 16+, it's not anywhere close to a 16+, it's way closer to any 15+ i've ever played in terms of difficulty, and to compare it to the other, much harder 16+s (even Last Wish, which has the same chart constant as this chart!) despite lacking heavily in any of their difficult qualities... it's so hard to take this game's rating scale seriously when half the charts in the game straight up lie about their difficulty level . i can't even confidently place this at 15+ because i don't even know what it means for a chart to be 15+ anymore, but i definitly think this chart falls way short of even being a 16...
ah well, enough complaining, i'm gonna grow gray hairs at this rate if i keep shitting on a passion project that isn't even out of early access yet... but i really do hope they reconsider their rating scale as a whole so gross misratings like this one don't happen again . while this is technically my first and only 16+ FC, it really does not feel like one and i'm ashamed to brand it as such... unlike Rrhar'il, however, these songs seem to reflect the difficulty of a 16+ WAY better!!! AND there were way more potential upscores to be achieved on the charts in order to boost my ratings!!! revisiting SENT://INEL [ENC 16+], i raised it from a clean 1.000M up to almost 1.003M, giving me a +8 rating boost!!! following this was ANOTHER near-1.003M upscore, this time on B3611V [ENC 16+] (which i hadn't even gotten to SS yet before this play!!), giving me +11 rating this time!!! paid another visit to APOCALYPSE CALL , the ENC 17 and FIN 16+, to snag some rating from both... and i got quite a bit!!! ...though alas, i'm still a bit unsatisfied with the scores on each chart
no time to worry about that though, because i was burning out on both difficulties and needed a quick break... and that's where switched over to set another upscore on SENT://INEL, raising it up to a 1.005M and breaching the 17950 rating threshold, stopping right at 17951!!! just 49 rating to go until the big 18000, i was so close i could taste it...!! ...but alas, that's where the story ends for me . it was already 2 1/2 hours until 2025, my arms were super tired, and i just didn't feel the motivation to continue my grind any further... i definitely don't think i reached my limit overall (i can probably snag the 18000 rating this week, if we're being honest), but i definitely would've gone insane and missed out on a lot of familial interactions if i kept going... which is why i made the decision to call off the run and leave the 18000 rating final stretch for later this week . that unfortunately means i won't get to show off my fancy 18000 rating in the 2024 recap, but it does mean i'll get to set my sights even higher rating-wise for 2025's goals!!!
one last silly score for the year before i hop off, but here's a heal-free clear on Proto Disco [Append Lv.34] before ringing in the new year!!! such a banger chart and song... i'm gonna absolutely love grinding this one out for the new year www
aaaaand that wraps up 2024 in terms of scores!!! quite a lot of writing for a considerably smaller quantity of scores, but it's always quality over quantity down here in 2dkapsddr town nowadays... i jest, but still!!! thank you all so much to anyone who's followed and liked my posts over this year and earlier, read any of my rhythm game ramblings, and stuck with me as i complained about stuff that just didn't make sense to my super perfectionist autistic brain . i can't really say how 2025 will go, given it's only just started by the time i'm writing this post, but i'm gonna set my sights even higher than i did this past year and aim for even bigger achievements that may or may not even be feasible!!! i expect the recap, review, and comments on my 2024 year in rhythm gaming post to take quite a while, so i'll be working on that in the background this week and hope to have it published sometime this week, but regular daily rhythm game posts should continue as per usual!! happy new year to all, may all your wishes and achievements come true this year as i'll try to shoot for with mine, and until next time!!!

the finally stretch... y'know, i honestly wasn't expecting last post to be so long that i'd have to split it in two, but c'est la vie after all... no matter, let's get the rest of this post over with so i can work on my 2024 rhythm game recap and 2025 rhythm game goals!!!
jumping right back into the SMX scores and suggestions... we have yet another upscore on The Saint Goes Marching (Helix Remix 2020 Edit) [WILD 21] this time a near-PFC (save for a single miss) and a raise to 96.9k!!! following this is a super exhausted upscore on Running In The 90s 2023 [FULL+ 24], bringing it out of the 80k's and into the 90k's with a 90.5k!!! and for the last SMX song suggestion... a sightread 88,080 (funy) on Personal Reality [WILD 25]!!! EXTREMELY fun chart holy hell, just the right amount of tech to be unique and fun for the game and it's executed beautifully by my standards . would love to see more charts like this in SMX...
aaand for the last of the arcade scores for today, we have SDVX!!! it's just the last few song suggestions i still had to get through in the game, but i managed to get an all-new 18 clear (and potential excessive clear candidate) out of it: Fl0ating: [MXM-18]!!!
and now: for the last of the scores in general... we're wrapping it up with a teensy bit more arcaea!!! cleaning up some of my lower-scored BYD charts, we have Last | Moment (BYD-9, MAX-19) and Fairytale (BYD-9, MAX-38) as BYD PMs #13 and #14 respectively!!! there's also that upscore on Quon [BYD-10] to more accurately reflect my overall performance on the chart, but most important of all the scores... is my upscore on World Ender, from a 9908 -> 9923, resulting in a +0.01 PTT increase to my new peak of 12.69 PTT!!! (nice)
oh right, there's also a massive PM upscore on Modelista [FTR-9] after having such a scuffed PM on it for so long... from MAX-47 -> MAX-22!!! insane plays!!! and to top it all off for the day... I GOT WINTER KOU PARTNER AT LAST!!! all the frantic world mode grinding finally paid off for this moment... gahhh she's so pretty !!!

it's about time for the end of the year... been quite a long one, huh? so many achievements this year, so many new people met and interacted with, so many chokes of despair and pain in and out of rhythm games... but in retrospect, i'd say it was All Worth It:tm:!!!
but!!! to conclusively wrap things up for the year and to scratch that 2024 itch one last time, i'm having my last arcade session of the year to see just how far i've come in rhythm gaming this year (and to give some of my arcade RG ratings a slight boost for the 2024 rhythm gaming recap >:])!!! while not as long of a session as i've had before, this one's still chock full of cool stuff based on suggestions from mutuals and friends on Twitter Dot Com !!!
warming up with the usual IIDX finger-training warmup, we have six banger scores over the course of two sets (with a tragic fail prematurely ending the second set), all AA and above... starting with my warmup song suggestion from twitter, an AA (AAA-24) on Speculation [SPH-9], followed by a bit of World Tourism grinding with an AAA on Rock It [SPH-8], and then with the REAL SCORES beginning from here on out!!! an INSANE AA UPSCORE on 199024club -Re:BounceKiller- [SPH-10], then ANOTHER AA UPSCORE on COSMIC V3LOCITY [SPH-10] (just ignore the assist-easy clear on it www), and then wrapping up the session for now with two incredible scores on two incredible songs for my second incredible set... a re-AA upscore on Y&Co. is dead or alive [SPH-9], and an all-new awesome AA on Dazzlin' Darlin [SPA-10]!!!!
and now, for some VOLTEX GAMING!!! this one's a mix of suggestions from my friend, as well as some random songs which i thought would bump my rating up a little as well... so as you can see below, MANY volforce upscores and many upscores (or generally just new scores) along the way!! we got some volforce from Sakazuki [EXH-17], nothing from Got more raves ? [EXH-17], and then some more volforce from a sightread AAA on Little princess has no identity. [EXH-17]... as well as even more volforce from a massive upscore on waxing and wanding [MXM-18]!!! ...oh, and the other scores? these are ALSO from a friend's suggestion, the song title being a somewhat confusing one for me at the time but the "Arr.Demetori" making it an easy search . i had no idea what i was getting into with this chart, and it honestly didn't seem all that bad when i was first playing...? but then came the crosshands and one-hands... and no matter how hard i tried to recall just before the patterns, i'd always end up choking them . so i tried and tried again, always messing up and not having enough excessive gauge to finish off the chart, but at the very end of a set where i played nothing but the song, i did it...! an AAA (just below AAA+ damnit) and Excessive Clear on Shinkou wa hakanaki ningen no tame ni ~ Arr.Demetori [EXH-17]!!!!
and now, for the moment you've allll been waiting for... DDR TIME!!! i was sorta avoiding DDR because the machines seemed crowded and the lines a bit too long, but i think it freed up enough at some point to play on rotation, and so i hopped in line and played a mix of suggestions and just stuff that sounded pretty good!!! very good choice, because as a result, i got Kill The Night [ESP-14] as 14 PFC #22!!! ...and some other cool scores ig,... hgjmsdmfdshj
GITADORA BREAK!!!! got yet another song suggestion for this game, but i also just wanted to jam out to some drumming tunes and this game was by far the best one to do just that :] well hey, i got my highest level clear(? is the 5.55 Advanced of Oh my! Lovely! Sweety! Darling! the highest? i don't remember...) out of it, so it all worked out in the end!!! other scores include getting a slight S-rank upscore on Pop music ron [ADV 4.60], a sightread A on Itte. (EXT 4.55, the aforementioned suggested song), and a sightread clear on Niji no saki ni nani ga aru ka [ADV 5.30]!!!
one last non-DDR intermission: a smaller series of Arcaea scores i got while waiting in line for my turn on the cab!!! now, given i'm just playing with thumbs on my lap and have no audio to work with, you'd think i'd be flopping and getting terrible scores the whole way through, right? WRONG!!! completely unbeknownst to me, these scores would be the best non-PM scores i'd had in a while... as i ended up getting a MASSIVE 991 -> 998 FULL RECALL upscore on La'qryma of the Wasteland [BYD-10], as well as... FINALLY GETTING AN EX+ ON WORLD ENDER [BYD-11]!!!! WE OUT HEREEEE
BACK TO DDR!!! by this point, i thought i was almost completely out of steam (fueled more by this somewhat poor score on AI [ESP-16] , but i think i just needed to wake myself up a little... because shortly after, it was all PFCs and all upscores!!! a re-PFC on Dance and Death (ESP-13, 49p -> 35p), a NEW ALSO-39p PFC on Kyuukurarin [ESP-13], and then an INSANE re-PFC upscore on Setsujou danka (ESP-15, 64p -> 40p) to wrap the whole set up???
quick move over to StepManiaX as i still had a few other song suggestions left in order to finally wrap things up across each game... i had a somewhat rough start as my legs were Still kinda feeling weak after DDR, but i persisted and was rewarded handsomely for said persistence!!! a 94.8k FC on The Saint Goes Marching (Helix Remix 2020 Edit) [WILD 21], an even cooler 95.2k clear on Gargoyle [WILD 24], and a best-of-all 96.9k FC on Xuxa [WILD 23]!!! ...unfortunately, however, it seems i hit the image limit with this last section, and thus i'll have to continue this in another post... but it won't be as long thankfully!!! just a few more SMX and SDVX scores, then a lot more sweet Arcaea achievements!!!

WHEW... that was a lot of writing for the past two posts . hopefully i can take it easier in this one... and i think i actually can, because there's only a few scores to really write about in this post!!! namely just a few scores in the two games above... but they're still notable scores, so don't click away just yet!!! that's because out of nowhere during this arcaea session, while trying to grind the hell out of Kou (Winter)'s map before it left... i got an insane PM on FREEF4LL (BYD-9+, MAX-43) out of nowhere as BYD PM #12??? i did need it for a challenge after all, so i've been practicing it and was happy i got it after all... but first try of the day??? isn't that insane??? oh right, also some slight PM upscores on Paradise (FTR-7+, MAX-23 -> MAX-15) and Protoflicker (FTR-9+, MAX-41 -> MAX-34)... but i can do better on both of those of course www
and now for the last game of the post... EZ2ON!!! i didn't initially have any real plans to hop on any PC rhythm games today, as i was supposed to be cleaning and getting through both Sonic Movie 2 and ZZZ Chapter 5 today, but it came as a spur of the moment during a twitter convo where we discussed our notespeeds and experience with different rhythm games, namely of course, EZ2ON . i hopped on to check my notespeed and saw it was at a shocking 6.7, compared to the 7.8(?) and the INSANE 10.5 my twitter friends used, and so i decided to play a bit while being absolutely Flabbergasted at their sheer skill... great choice, because the scores i set despite having such a low scroll speed were INSANE!!! take, for example, AN ALL COOL ON SAND STORM [4S SHD-16]!!!! THE CHART WITH THE STUPIDLY IMPOSSIBLE CHORDJACK PART BEFORE THE LAST CHORUS!!!
unbelievably sick play... but it doesn't stop there!!! inspired by the friend who played 6K on 10.5, i revisited several old scores i had on 6K charts to see how well i could do on them now, and my improvement on them was absolutely shocking... i went from horrible clears and fails on some of these to getting No Misses/FCs on charts like 20000000000 [HD-15], Minus 2 [HD-14], and even Kamui [NM-14]... as well as huge upscores on other somewhat harder charts like Dance Machine [SHD-14] and The Boy (EK2-Beat Ver.) [SHD-15]!!

alright, let's start this post off strong!!! today is the last saturday of the year, but incidentally... it's the date of the vivid/stasis v4.0 update -- Final Chapter Part 1 !!! but once again, i was too lazy and too sleepy to finish watching the second Sonic movie last night... so once again, that'd have to wait as i had better things to preoccupy myself with, like the super cool new awesome story update that i woke up precisely in time for, and also what i'd spend all day on playing!!! but before that... since it was morning anyways, i still needed to get through a few daily mobile game shenanigans, namely the Chunithm Part 1 map reruns that were ending soon... but fortunately, i managed to clear them all!!!! and as a reward/little treat for using MIR-203 as my partner through most of the maps (besides whenever i had to switch to Fatalis Hikari), i only had to use one ether drop on her for her AWAKENING!!!! which includes BOOBS!!!! BIG ONES!!!!! very questionable!!!! no idea why they didn't use any other artwork for her, but i'm not complaining!!! alas, however, leveling her up to 30 is gonna be a pain, so i'm gonna need to use another partner for world mode maps so that i don't die of boredom from lack of progression...
HOWEVER!!! before i make the switch and abandon my beautiful beloved CHUNITHM partner, there's one last song i must play and defeat once and for all... one i never thought i'd ever completely defeat in the first place. ever since it released, the song and chart have haunted me with how ridiculously impossible it was to maintain any consistency throughout. even if i managed to stay consistent, i'd lose to something stupid, and once i ran through every stupid thing that defeated me, i'd run out of physical stamina and have to come back to it some other day... but not today. today, i was determined to seal away this trash trash salary erasing garbage chart once and for all. and after what felt like a half-hour of attempts (honestly probably less), an insane amount for me personally (but probably not even that much for others), and a tragic 1-miss play in world mode that motivated me to grind it away in the first place...
...it happened. at long last, the nightmare and hell was over. at long last, i could put this chart to rest and move on from it forever... finally... Distortion Human (FTR-9+, MAX-29), knocked out as FTR PM #228!!!! IT WAS OVER AT LAST!!!! NO MORE PLAYIJNG TYHIS STUPID CHART AGAIN ALKSDLKSDLJKFSDL
right, and now for the last of the scores!!! all four of these remaining scores were for challenges in another server, but there's some impressive stuff here still!!! like, for example, my first clear on the Phase 10 course being a shocking EX+ on the whole thing!!! ...and on the more unfortunate side of the spectrum, a slight -2 downscore re-PM on next to you [BYD-9] and -30 on Heavensdoor [BYD-10+], it's no biggie...

ALRIGHT!!! now for the moment you've all been waiting for... the grand spoiler section of the post that i'm keeping tucked away beneath all these arcaea scores, so as to hopefully not spoil any unsuspecting readers or searchers of vivid/stasis content... it's time for the grand scoredump of the new chapter!!! i obviously didn't play through every single song of the update, so there's gonna be a lot of songs missing whilst i recover from this hell of a wild ride... but by GOD was it a wild ride!!! insane how much lore, content, and effort can be packed into a single update that, mind you, isn't even the full package of the chapter!!! it's so beautiful to see, and even more beautiful to experience, i can't imagine how hard they must've been cooking behind the scenes...
but let's get the scores out of the way . there's quite a lot of good stuff amidst the spoilers after all!!! keep in mind my initial rating of 17717 prior to starting on the update contents... now then! the first o the sweet scores is a sightread FC on even at the end of the world, you left it [FIN 12] as part of a story mission (lie), but then followed up by a more impressive sightread FC on a slightly older yet harder song, Surtr's Wish [FIN 15]!!! triumphing above them both, however, is my sightread AC on one of the hidden songs deeper within the chapter... Concrete Jungle [FIN 14]!!!
...aaaand that was about all the songs i played for the main chapter update. there's the boss song of course, but that one wasn't a true play on account of not being the full chart . wanna know where the real scores lie? why, in the postgame betweenspace content, of course!!! ...well, not really "of course" on account of it being completely hidden and mentioned nowhere as of this post, but it exists!!! go look for it!!! it's extremely fun!!! aaand here's the sightreads!!! a tragic sightread black flag on See You Move [FIN 12+], a slight recovery sightread AC (MAX-6) on Voltage Strike [FIN 12], Yet Another Sightread MAX-6 AC on Attractor Force [FIN 10+], and somehow an FC on reFract::dense [FIN 14+] (by FAR the hardest 14+ i've played... okay maybe not really), and then the grand epic secret song of the postgame... my sightread plays on B3611V [FIN 15+ and ENC 16+]!!! ...i sincerely apologize if this spoiled you on the fact there was a postgame in the first place, but it's not too late!!! tried omitting as much as i could about the songs for this very reason, so go play them yourself!!! they're awesome!!!
...and now, to wrap things up before my fingers cramp any harder than they have today... my first attempt on the final insanity boss that is Class 12 added with this update!!! the whole reason everyone's class was reset with the update, after all (mine included)... the menus are a bit bugged, but the only two scores i took screenshots of were my scores on SUPERNOVA [ENC 16+] and APOCALYPSE CALL [FIN 16+], and then the final song grade total to show that i actually passed the whole thing!!! 4M next ? maybe even an SS+ on the course down the line... meh, seems a bit too hard . but that's all i could find for the update, see y'all around for when i get back to the rest of the content!!!

arcade day!!! couldn't really figure out how to start this post other than saying i had quite a bit more planned today with regards to non-arcade stuff... the day before, i had the amazing idea of binging the first two Sonic movies before going to the theater to watch Sonic 3! so that night, i got started on rewatching the first one, but i never managed to get through the second one as i saw a triggering scene and my head ached too much to really pay attention to the second one... thus, i was unable to fulfill my dream of watching all three movies within the same 24 hours before going to round 1 afterwards . however, i did have another reason to visit round 1 that day anyway... and that was to meet up with an online rhythm gaming friend blowing in from up north!!! he had contacted me about meeting up there during my watch of the first movie, and i happily accepted, so here came the day to show up and game!!! starting with a teensy little sdvx warmup where i may or may not have left him hanging...
but now, for the REAL DEAL!!! this aforementioned rhythm gaming friend was not just any rhythm gaming friend.... he was a huge awesome co-op player!!! and since a new update released recently with new co-op charts, we tried them out together, getting this sweet new S-rank clear on Discord (CO-OP X2), as well as little fun re-clears for him (but new clears for me) on Rage of Fire (CO-OP X2) and Another Truth (CO-OP X2)!!! ...only to get our asses beaten to the ground by the newest and much more menacing Horang Pungryuga chart (CO-OP X2)... but overall, a really fun set, and i'm glad i got to experience co-op again for the first time in quite a while!!!
SWITCH OVER to IIDX!!! i watched the friend play for a bit and even saw him clear SP 5th Dan on complete sightread!!! shortly after that, i had a really strong itch to play it myself, and so i did...! alas, i only ended up playing two sets and taking photos of three songs, but they're not all that bad!!! after all, they include an EXHC on Igaku [SPA-9], an HC on Verflucht [SPH-10], and a sightread random EC on HAPPY ANGEL [SPA-10]!!!
and now, for the DDR portion of this post!!! with first place being meeting up with the friend, the second most exciting thing about this round 1 trip was the new christmas content update to DDR World!!! you may have seen the grand return of full-screen BGAs from a few posts ago(?), but this one was even better... it was the grand addition of other characters (like alice and baby-lon!! wow), other customization stuff, NEW BANGER LICENSES, NEW CONTEST SONGS and even NEW CLASSIC SONG CHALLENGE CHARTS!!! one of which, Hana ranman -Flowers- [CSP-14], i managed to snipe on sightread with a 30p PFC as 14 PFC #21!!! additionally impressive scores include finally getting a GFC AAA (with 995k score, at that!) on 9th Outburst [ESP-15], a sightread 49p PFC (albeit a really bad one) on the absolute banger of a contest song that is Dance and Death [ESP-13], a really damn good upscore (949k -> 978k) on Monkey Business [CSP-16], and even a sightread GFC AAA on Mesmerizer [ESP-15]!!!
quick SDVX interjection between DDR sets when i was sorta gassed out and needed a break... i wasn't really expecting or hoping for much from this set, given i'd already gotten a nice 18 upscore earlier to satisfy my needs, but i got a shocker of an upscore that blew said 18 upscore out of the water... it was a a UC on Juusan futou [EXH-16], a chart I hadn't even S-ranked prior...! and it was my first naturally occuring UC since BBKKBKK NOV, an insane feat by itself!!! with a 999 at that, holyhelll...
back to DDR, however!!! there's not many scores left (only 3 more, actually), so this is gonna be quite the short paragraph to wrap things up... but before i could leave round 1 and finally get to watching the second sonic movie, i Needed to get a PFC on a certain new license whose chart was torturing me all session long... a song and chart none other than Igaku [ESP-13] . but like, i'd already played the chart in IIDX with similar timing windows... why was it so hard to do the same in DDR all of a sudden?? beats me, but along the way i realized just how good i was at BE LOVIN [CSP-15], another one of the new song challenge charts!!! maybe i could even PFC it some other day... but no time to think about that now!!! i kept trying and trying for the PFC on the aforementioned chart, failing time and time again at the stupidest patterns possible... until finally... i got a 30p PFC on Igaku [ESP-13]!!! oh right, and to wrap things up... a PFC (and Flare EX clear) on Warera kanzen muteki no idol!! [ESP-12] (CSP-15 is gonna take me much, much longer...)
BONUS: I GOT A RASIS FIGURE FROM MY SISTER FOR CHRISTMAS!!! YOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! admittedly, it feels a bit degenerate to own this given her clothing (or lack thereof), but having this figure in my possession now is so surreal yet incredible... there's two of em now!!! one fat and stinky, the other tall and beautiful... wwwww
