JOEL- “Did I do something??”

TARIC- “No Joel...well kind of.  By introducing me as your boyfriend, it was quite uncomfortable, but it’s all okay.  I just don’t do weddings very well.  I probably should not have agreed to come as your date.  We should do something else. I will call you.”

JOEL- “Yeah, I’ve heard that one before.  But okay I understand. Good luck Taric, and I do hope you call me again.”

With that, Taric calls UBER and get’s a ride back to his apartment.

Two dates down, two to go....

SAM- “Bi-sexual here, and Joel and I were nothing, but a hook up, here and there. Nothing serious.  That’s the way Joel operates. Nothing serious, that way he doesn’t get his heart broke again.”

TARIC- “Oh, I see.”

SAM- “I mean he is a great guy and like I said, he can do some amazing things in the bed....but after Cale, he has had a hard time.”

TARIC- “Cale?”

SAM- “Yeah they were together for quite a while, and he was killed in a car accident.  The boy never got over it.....Anyway, now that I know you and Joel aren’t like together, want to exchange numbers??”

TARIC- “Seriously???  You JUST got married....

Taric gets up and heads towards the reception.....

JOEL-(trying wink at Taric, but failing miserably) “Yeah we’ve been dating a while. He is in computers.”

DIXIE- “Joel...I think you have something in your eye, it keeps twitching.”

TARIC- “It’s a pleasure to meet you Dixie. The teeth was wonderful...I MEAN the WEDDING was wonderful!”

DIXIE- “Yeah, it was. And don’t worry about the slip up... I get that all the time.  Why do you think I married an orthodontist?

JOEL- “There you are!!  So you okay?”

TARIC- “Yeah....”

JOEL- “You don’t seem okay.”

TARIC- “Dixie’s husband...he just hit on me!”

JOEL- “Sounds like Sam. He must like you.”

TARIC- “Okay that is just ...really uncomfortable.  I think I am going to go, Joel.”

JOEL- “Hey, Taric, it’s Joel, Joel Carter...”

TARIC- “Hey Joel, how are you doing. Sorry I haven’t called, I started a new job and I’ve just been really busy...”

JOEL- “Not a problem, but I was calling to see if you  would like to go on another date.“

TARIC- “Definitely!! What and when were you thinking?”

JOEL- “Well, I have this family wedding to go to Friday....my cousin is getting married....I was hoping you could go as my date...there is going to be a live band, and a full bar.”

TARIC- “A wedding, well...okay sure, sounds like fun.”

JOEL- “GREAT!!  I will pick you up Friday, say around 5:30?”

TARIC- “I look forward to it!!”

JOEL- “It’s semi formal, so just a suit jacket would be fine.”

TARIC- “Even better!! Thanks for calling, sounds like fun!”

TARIC- “Oh, hey Sam.  Nothing just needed to get some air.”

SAM- “You are telling me.  Try being the groom.  Her family is crazy. So you and Joel...serious?”

TARIC- “Actually I don’t really know at this point Sam. I mean we have been on a couple dates.”

SAM- “Oh, so you are not like boyfriends then?”

TARIC- “No, not at all. He said he told people that so that he wouldn’t have to answer a lot of questions...I don’t know it sounded a little absurd.”

SAM- “Yeah, Joel is a little absurd, but a great guy. And great in the sack.”

TARIC- “Huh?...You just married his cousin...”

JOEL- “He is my boyfriend...”

TARIC- “Joel, can we go out back, we need to talk...”
