I got a black eye! One single time in my life I behaved like gentlemen and what‘s the reward? - Yes, a black eye!

This only because I lend Rose Erskine my coat!

I met her on the street, she seemed to be cold - no wonder in this light jacket which she was wearing - and I gave her my coat. That’s all. End of the story. Nothing behind. No ulterior motifs. Just a gentleman’s act.

Yes, we had a story. We fucked. It was nice, but - hell - that’s ages ago.

Yes, I like her, but - hey - I also like the wife of the Old Spitalfields baker, but I wouldn’t dare to jump on that woman to satisfy my low desires.

First, she’s not fuckable. Second, I have many better choices ... which doesn’t mean that Rose is one of them ... at least, not at the moment.

But obviously this muscleman of a copper with the communication skills of a deep-sea fish, who has an eye on her for years, don’t give a fuck on obvious facts.

Anyway, ...

I‘m the last one to talk about women or relationships issues ... also if my old fellow should do, he wouldn’t. Well, I will be there for him when he’s ready.

All I can do now is pressing this piece of raw flesh against my injured eye hoping that the swelling disappears ... and ... hoping that Caitlin don’t ask further and goes on accepting the story that I was attacked by a stranger.
