❝ what? ❞ she asked, feigning innocence as she shoved a heaping spoonful in her mouth. ❝ don’t look at me like that — i know for a fact you guys weren’t gonna eat this anyway. belly probably would’ve forgotten it existed. ❞ she hopped up onto the counter, legs swinging, spoon in hand like a weapon. ❝ you want some, or are you just gonna stand there acting all mysterious and judging me? ❞ she teased, squinting at him dramatically. ❝ oh my god, wait — are you judging my midnight snack choices? because i will fight you. ❞ her grin was wide, daring him to crack a smile, because if there was one thing taylor was good at, it was not letting conrad fisher get away with being moody for too long.
<3'd for a tsitp starter
@2onrad sent: 🚿 to join TAYLOR in the shower
WAS there a better feeling than a long, hot shower after a long day ? taylor was convinced the answer was no, although bubble baths were highly comparable. the stream of steamy water was enough to satisfy her current needs, however, and she sighed contently as the water rid her of sand, salt and anything else that she'd picked up while at the beach. fingertips had already massaged floral smelling shampoo and conditioner into her hair, thus all she had left was body wash. as she reached for the bottle, however, the shower curtain was pushed back and she felt someone step up behind her. there wasn't much question as to who it was, but the femme turned anyway and let her lips curve into a sultry smile. ❛❛ perfect timing, ❜❜ she declared, holding the bottle out towards conrad. ❛❛ i could actually use some help. ❜❜
@2onrad said " 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓. " for jeremiah
𝐽𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑡𝘩𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦 ; if more than anything he simply wanted to be left alone. And yet here is Conrad telling him to get over himself. A heavy sigh escapes him, his hand going through his own hair with a frown.
❝ I'm really not wanting to fight with you today, Con. If it's really important to you then get back to me maybe tomorrow. ❞ but even then he would like to avoid the confrontation for as long as possible.
i lie here, staring at the ceiling, the soft hum of the fan above doing nothing to quiet the storm in my chest. every inch of me is tense, coiled with questions i can’t answer and truths i’m terrified to face. conrad is next to me, so close i can feel the warmth of him through the sheets, the faint rise and fall of his chest, and it’s maddening. because being near him should feel safe, comforting, even familiar but instead it feels like stepping into a storm i’ve spent years trying to avoid. i want to reach for @2onrad, to touch him, to lean into the safety of his presence, but something heavier than fear holds me back. the weight of everything unsaid presses down on my ribs, making each breath a deliberate effort, like i’m inhaling shards of glass with every heartbeat. i think about the last time we were this close, about all the nights i’ve spent lying awake, replaying every look, every word, every small gesture that told me he felt the same way i did. and yet here we are, tangled in sheets and silence, and i still don’t know what he wants from me, from us. it’s unfair, maybe even cruel, to be this vulnerable with someone when the rules aren’t clear, when i can’t read his mind or predict what will happen if i give in to what i feel. every nerve in my body is screaming for him, for the warmth of his hand, the brush of his lips, the soft certainty of him saying what i’ve been aching to hear for so long. and at the same time, every part of me is terrified that if i let myself fall, there’ll be no one to catch me, that the ground will give way and we’ll both end up shattered.
i feel the pull of him, the invisible thread that has always tied me to him, stronger now than ever. and it makes my chest ache, makes my stomach twist with longing and frustration. i want clarity. i need clarity. i need to know what he expects of me, what he sees when he looks at me, what he imagines when he reaches for me. i need to know that he’s not just here because it’s convenient, or because it feels right in this moment, but because he wants me in every messy, complicated, impossible way that i want him. the questions crash through me, relentless, impossible to quiet, and finally, after too many seconds of suffocating in silence, the words find their way out. ❝ conrad, do you even know what it’s been like? do you know how it feels to cross an entire ocean and still feel like your heart is tethered to someone you can’t fully reach? i came here thinking distance would dull the ache, thinking i could finally live without carrying the shadow of you everywhere i go, and yet here you are, dripping rain onto my floor, filling my apartment with everything i never wanted to feel again, and i can’t escape it. i can’t hide from it. ❞
i move closer to him, trembling, not knowing if i’m moving toward confrontation or surrender, but i can’t stop. ❝ and do you remember the night i begged you? ❞ i press my palms to the edge of the bed, leaning in just enough that the heat between us feels unbearable. ❝ do you remember the way i stood there with my whole heart in my hands, asking you to stay, asking you to fight, asking you to love me the way i loved you, and you just walked away? ❞ my voice shakes, almost breaking, and i turn my head, forcing him to look at me. ❝ you left me with nothing but questions and emptiness, and a thousand fragments of myself scattered across places you’ll never know, and i carried all of it alone. ❞ my shoulders hunch, and i wrap my arms around myself for a brief, futile shield, as if holding in my own pieces could somehow protect me. ❝ i carried it through summers, through years, through every lonely morning i thought i could pretend didn’t hurt. ❞ i close my eyes, inhale sharply, then let it out slowly, my hands sliding down to grip the blanket at my knees. ❝ and every time i think i’ve made it through, you show up again, reminding me that none of it was enough to make you stay, none of it was enough to make you see me. ❞ my eyes snap open, piercing him, and i step just a little closer, the tremor in my legs barely contained. ❝ you broke me, conrad. you broke me, ❞ i whisper, my voice low but fierce, hands resting flat against his chest, feeling the pulse beneath my fingers, the weight of him anchoring the chaos in my chest. ❝ and the worst part is that even now, when i’m standing here, on the other side of the world, with my own life, my own city, my own breaths, part of me still wants you. ❞ i lean my forehead against his shoulder, closing my eyes for a second, then pull back just enough to meet his gaze. ❝ part of me still wants to believe that if you told me you loved me, if you swore you would never leave again, i would forgive you instantly. ❞ i press my hand over my heart, clutching at the ache that hasn’t faded, my other hand resting lightly against his arm. ❝ and i hate myself for it. i hate myself for still wanting you, for still needing you, for still letting my heart remember what my mind is screaming to forget. ❞ i take a shuddering breath, sliding back a fraction, letting the space between us hold the weight of everything i’ve just said until i ask him the question, the one question that will either make us or break us. ❝ tell me, what are you expecting, conrad? what do you want? ❞
taylor jewel had never been good at sitting still when her mind was restless, and being around conrad fisher made her feel like her thoughts were constantly running in circles. it was exhausting, how much space he took up inside her without even trying. she wanted to tell herself it was just another crush, the same as all the others she’d had, fleeting and shallow. but it wasn’t. @2onrad wasn’t easy to brush off, because he wasn’t easy at all. he was complicated, heavy with silences and shadows, but that only pulled her in more. taylor could feel herself bending around him, wanting his attention in ways she couldn’t disguise. it scared her, how badly she wanted to matter to him, how much she studied his face for any flicker of interest. when she caught him looking at her, even for a second, she felt dizzy with the possibility that maybe she wasn’t imagining it all. and when he drifted away into himself, she ached with the absence of something she wasn’t even sure she ever had.
❝ you’re acting like you’ve got me all figured out, ❞ she said one night, her voice sharper than she meant. ❝ like you think you know what i care about, or don’t care about. but you don’t, conrad. you don’t know half of it. ❞ she hated the tremor in her voice, but she kept going anyway. ❝ you look at me like i’m shallow, like i only care about the surface stuff. yeah, maybe i play that part sometimes, but that’s not all there is. i wish you’d see past it. i wish you’d try. ❞ she leaned back on her hands, forcing herself to hold his gaze. ❝ you make it so hard to know where i stand with you. one minute, you’re miles away, and the next, it feels like you’re right here, closer than anyone. do you have any idea how confusing that is? ❞ she laughed, but it was bitter, nervous. ❝ god, i probably sound ridiculous. you don’t owe me anything. i know that. but you— ❞ she stopped, swallowing hard. ❝ you make me care. and i hate that, because i don’t know if you ever will. ❞ the words hung in the air heavier than she expected, heavier than she was ready for. and yet, she didn’t regret them. for once, she had said the thing she was always too afraid to say.
𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆. ❪yet another one of these noises. echoed through airport space. whatever the fuck those noises are. he never knew. never really cared either. especially now ── when all he could focus on, was the blanketing reality of summer actually ending. summer is actually ending. hard cut of camera. all that unimportant shit. this shit sucks. airpods sunk into his ears. dark shades, seeped over his eyes. using music to distract himself, from the truth. the cold hard fucking truth. 𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐊. down into his seat. sank down like a sack of bricks, slumped into it. dark length of curls bundled lightly behind him and plush seat. 𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑠. first class was an option but he just── wants to get this "traveling" shit over with already. economy class is never an option. slowest scroll, of camera, towards the left ── toward the stranger, toward @2onrad's neighboring direction. one that was sat, next to the curly sink of despair. one who was currently digging his attentions, into the phone screen, within his hand❫ . .

there was nothing more dangerous than staying in the same room as conrad fisher, apparent by the half tilted smile she has to reel in with her teeth upon lower lip, as though that were going to help the desire to give in. say yes, because going another day without him was killing her. imagine by the subtle pleading he was the same. but so would be delaying the inevitable and leaving again anyway, it all hurts just the same. if their love was guilty as sin, belly doesn't ever wanna be right. jere was expecting her home, or at least that's what she told him when she made these plans with a friend he didn't know, the less he knew the better, but he didn't care to ask either, thankfully it worked in the brunette's favor.
❝ i dont wanna leave here either. . . but con- - - how would i explain it to him? ❞ your husband, belly. you can say it. but she elects to keep his name from being mentioned. ❝ you know if i could, i'd stay here with you forever. ❞ can feel his breath nipping at the skin along her neck, causing goosebumps to light up her flesh. ❝ i want nothing more. ❞ doesn't make any sudden movements, allows herself the pleasure of being entangled within his arms until their time runs out and she has to walk out the door, back to someone she doesn't love, not as she loves his oldest brother.
