Her kisses were like a sweet poison.
Kuro broke away from the kiss, "Why do we do this?"
It was a simple question. It should've been a simple answer too. But, it wasn't.
Calliope bit her lip.
Why they did what they did was the question.
Calliope seemed to be at a loss for words but she ended up asking something he knew she knew, "What do you mean?"
"Why don't we talk about whatever we have? Or whatever this is.” He said gesturing to the two of them.
Calliope crossed her arms, "We don't have anything."
"Then why do we come back to each other?"
Calliope faltered again. Kuro didn't say anything.
"I-," she paused again, searching for the right words. "I don't know about you but I come back because I can. Not because I like you."
Kuro raised an eyebrow, slightly skeptical, "Really?"
"Yes, really." Her voice was wavering a little if you listened, "I'm here because I can."
She went in to kiss him again, pulling him down to her height.
As much as Kuro's common sense told him not to, he pulled her closer.
Again, her kisses were a sweet poison.
It was something you know could hurt you in the end, but you can't pull away.
That was another question that couldn't be answered easily.
Kuro almost pulled away again but ultimately decided not to.
If this was how he was falling apart, at least it was an okay way to fall apart.
