Clinique Clarifying Lotion
I have always had an issue with toners as they seem to break me out in spots. Even when I just bare with it and see if the spots clear up, they never do. I can't even begin to tell you how many different toners/clarifying lotions I have tried over the years!
A few years back my Mum purchase the sample pack of the Clinique 3 Step System. In case you are not familiar with Clinique products, their 3 step system consists of a face wash, clarifying lotion and a moisturising lotion or gel. In conjunction with one another, these products are meant to help clear the skin of any impurities and leave it looking radiant.
Clinique have different sets of the three products to match different skin types. For example, I am combination/oily. For dryer skin types they have a moisturising lotion whereas for oily prone skin they have a moisturising gel (which is amazing!)
As I said before, my mum purchased me the sample pack which was aimed at my combination/oily skin. I absolutely loved the face wash and moisturiser but didn't really use the toner as I was not used to this step. I did end up finishing the toner eventually but did not feel the need to re-purchase, until now.
My boyfriend pick me up a new pack of the 3 step system for Christmas but accidentally purchased the dry/combination set. The face wash definitely feels different on my skin but it is still great, I just prefer the one targeted to my skin. The moisturising lotion is also good but the clarifying lotion, it is amazing! I have never seen my pores look so small! The red patches on my skin have also started to clear up, although I still get a few spots I can see that the lotion is slowly reducing the amount that pop up here and there. This has to be my most favourite new skin care product that I have used this year and I highly suggest visiting a Clinique counter for a consultation and maybe testing out some of their products. They are amazing!
