"3 Volleys" by Pepperboy

I’ve been a Pepperboy fan for some time now, but in my opinion, “3 Volleys” is his most exciting project yet. While most of his fans love him for his positive take on gritty street raps, his interest and repeated fixation on military history and culture is what I find makes for his most compelling music. The way he’s able to translate his unique interest into a conduit for his tales of the urban struggle is something I’m not sure any other rapper has every really attempted before this. While it may not have garnered him the most media attention or been the most buzzed about project he’s released so far, “3 Volleys” is certainly a special release, and arguably the unique, in the extensive Pepperboy canon.

Who is pepperboy? Pepperboy is a local street legend from littlerock, arkansas ..after serving 2 in a half years in prison pepperboy turned to music as a way to escape the harsh street life..his first album str8 off the block was released june 2002..after creating a buzz on the streets from his music pepp never looked back.

How did you first link up with Green Ova? I linked up wit greenova bout in early 2012….Bambino sont me a DM on twitter saying he liked my music..then he sent me a open verse for the “Stop Tryn”record ..he loved it and the rest is History..

Who is some slept on talent from Arkansas? Slept on Talent from From Arkansas Man It so much Talent here But Here’s a few Names Feezio ,607,E Dubb ,GKay Skully, T Scott,ROD D ,Cat Daddy,Yung Envy,,Playboy Shane..and many more those just the ones that came to mind and i actually heard and like they music

Have you worked with or heard from Lil B since he remixed Tha Parts? Me and Lil B been Texting on and off since 2011…..we havent done any music yet but he tells me he’s gonna reach out once he’s in position ..So i just keep grindin man..u know meet him at the top.

What artists would like to collab on a project with like you have with Western Tink, Squadda, & 607? I’d like to do a collab album wit Mondre M.A.N or Metro zu ..that’ll be dope

What’s the next project sounding like? The next project is called #3volleys ..its mixed wit streets, military and old historical events..i cant really explain it the album is crazy.

How’d you link up with Blue Sky Black Death & friendzone? I linked up wit BSBD thru a good friend name Luca..he felt like my style would be good on there beats…met friendzone thru my Greenova Family..i even stayed at friendzone house while in Cali..

Who are some producers you’d like to work with in the future? I wanna work wit…Tommy Kruise, Beautiful lou, and Ryan Hensworth and Big Keys and Tankwest

What did you grow up listening to? BIG ICE CUBE FAN!!!!!!!!!! AND MASTER P !!!!!!!!!

Favorite movies? Pearl Harbor , Belly ,Boys N the Hood ,Blood in Blood Out, Where the red fern grows, and Paid and Full

Favorite sports teams? Peyton Manning FAN !!! SO IT’S THE BRONCOS
