Married!
I was driving around by myself during spring break when it was cold and dreary and I went to Denver. And I got an apartment and scoured maps, and the center was metropolitan but their library was anchored in a suburb so they had little library cafés scattered, and i like "previewed" one but I didn't see if the cafés had books. I went on to Chicago going on country roads but one of them took me back to my starting point with a movie theater and a Jesus statue like in Rio de Janeiro. Then I was in Denver I think and my dad had weed and he rolled his blunt with rice?!? And I realized I would have to search online how to actually roll one but I didn't really care. Then I was in this race. There were legs and we could rest but we didn't know for how long. When it started I began to fly but I was still fourth or third place. At one of the pit stops me and lax Danielle were joking around with a carrots sign, altering it and and stuff. The whole setting was tropical with islands and sandy beaches and things. The race contined but it got more sinister. There were these black colored aliens with only their eyes on their body and they drove cars and slowly advanced towards me, and every time they got too close I got a strike. They turned out to be Demons, because at the very last second when like ten were coming towards me I started to beg and scream and they all turned into bibles. Someone made a sarcastic remark, and I saw more people from lax who had been going through the race. Then i was involved in theater and I was in les mis. I was Cosette and i played my role beautifully. Celeste from school was black, and had a black dad. In a more private setting I also sang a few lyrics without notes and it also sounded good. It turned out the whole "camp" with the race and theater was part of KLA and at some point we would discuss gateway nominees or something. But I had never signed up to lead a discussion group so it was all good and I left the camp early to enjoy the rest of my spring break.
Where Do I Envision Myself in One Year
Dear +1 year me, It's Pi day from a year ago and I'm here to write you about where I hope you've gotten by Pi day of 2015. So to start, are you finally dating someone? From today, it's been 6+ years since you last dated and I hope you've found someone nice and special who supports you in your life goals. {Date check} - If your sister doesn't approve of her, then you might want to be reconsider. I think she knows you as well as you know yourself, or even better, so don't be afraid to take advice from her down the road (especially if you start going down the online route). As for your career, you're about to release your next big game, right? After Snowflake was a small release and got a small following and Under the Weather was a niche hit that got some media attention, you continued on and made that game about ... Potion Belt, Loot, SHMUPs? (Going off of your random game mechanic cards and that's the best I could do) But more likely, you probably continued developing Dominia, that Domino-like card game you were brainstorming. Hope it's playable now. Did you do that joint project with Paul yet? Perhaps revisiting his 80k concept that you so loved? It wasn't necessarily marketable, but it has just the right mixture of teamwork and satisfaction that any duo would appreciate. I really hope you got that one done. And if not, I'm sure you two created something amazing, maybe with some of the artist friends you've accumulated over the years. Hope he's doing well too, I have faith in him. And you agreed that you'd make a game with Jono last week. Is that happening still? I feel like you'll actually get something done this time around, since you know how to be a game design leader. Also, I hope you reached out to Stewart and made something with him too. I know you were shy to reach out because you didn't feel your skill set was strong enough, but that's not the right reason to avoid a potential partner in design. Just tell him you don't want to hold him back, but you want to work on something and will commit. Then do it and make it awesome. Make an eco-game that will aid the world like you had planned on before. So that's your career. Sounds exciting. Keep it up! For traveling, did you ever make it to Korea to visit Areumee? I have a feeling Samantha bailed and it still hasn't happened yet, but is scheduled for "this year", meaning it still won't happen unless you organize it all yourself. It's ok, that's how it's always been and you're one of the glue factors that keeps the group together. I hope you have some money right now. I know you always wanted to see what it would be like to be homeless, but not right now hopefully. I'd say you hit the 50k mark, be that through game sales, finding a job somewhere and saving, or writing a book that was a bestseller (less likely, but possible). It'll keep growing, and by next year, you'll be at the 500k mark, investing money in a school to empower women to create technology + creating games for that school to teach. Keep changing the world! Speaking of that novel, you wrote it in November, right? Followed through with Nanowrimo and wrote one of these three topics - 1. The concept you've been trying to write for Nanowrimo for the past two years. The one about the girl who's blind, but can see in her own unique way. The one about a team of diverse disabled characters who use their inabilities as super abilities, showing that less can be more. 2. The concept from high school about the Mongolian invasion, similar to A Bomb In Nations of Japan in story structure, but with a different time era and different cultures melding together. Difficult, but more your style 3. The non-fictionesque fiction of your mother's grandma. A tale of immigration, cultural disjunction, and how badass your great grandma might have actually been. For some reason I imagine Jazz being important in the story arc.. that and some scenes at the gambling house to ponder if our family might have actually been running some kind of undergound gambling scene (team rocket style). Whichever you choose, I hope it's interesting and finished! *Potential spoilers?* Prediction for the end of How I Met Your Mother - Robin gets cold-feet at the wedding, runs away somewhere. Ted goes to chase after her, but can't find her. Ted's wife (forgetting her name right now), finds Robin on accident and convinces her that she should get married. The wedding goes on, but Ted can't bear to watch it, so he leaves early (can this happen if he's the best man?). Barney is the one who calls off the wedding (<-- where is this coming from?) and before they can reach Ted, he's already gone to the train station, where he meets the mother. They talk, and she convinces him to go back and talk to his friends. They don't officially get together at the end of the series, but she's the reason why the group stays friends and that Robin and Barney eventually do get married, perhaps by some flashfoward to a future wedding where the wedding does happen and Ted's wife catches the bouquet of flowers. *Potential spoilers?* Was that at all close? Probably not, but at least I tried. Hope it was satisfying of an ending. So that's about all I can think about right now. I hope you're doing well when you read this and if it's not before midnight, please do me a favor, bake a pumpkin pie, and see how much you can eat all by yourself. - <3 past you~
Need a time machine to take me back to exactly 2 years, 2 months and 13 days ago.
Lets all enjoy these 15 more minutes of pi-day
Everything is slowly coming back together
