3-CL always sneaks to his “daddy” (XL) once he´s asleep as well . He loves to sleeps in XL´s left arm. There he can hear his servo pump pounding. That soothes him and XL.

Also he sometimes slept where XL´s head is positioned until he grew too big for that.

3-CL is an energy vampire built by Zurg after the NOS-4-A2-story (So he is the third one).

As he got turned on for the first time dust of a cosmic cloud with a strange energy entered the area which caused his body to be the one of a child and his programming to develop a second personality, reverse to his actual programming, which became the dominant one. And thus he had a nice character instead of a destructive and malicious one.

Zurg ordered his deactivation azap but 3-CL decided to flee and ran into XL who was on Planet Z because of a part Zurg had invented that he wanted to steal.

Anyhow 3-CL clammered XL´s leg and begged him to save him. XL, of course, panic-stricken tried to shake the tiny energy vampire off but fled as 3-CL´s pursuers came too close.

And well, we all know XL can´t just put out a child, whether it´s an energy vampire or not, and especially nobody who suffered or nearly had to suffer his fate.

And soon after this incident 3-CL started to call XL "daddy" who very soon got over to liking the idea of being 3-CL´s "daddy" and accepted this role.
