Day 17: Is Luke a Villain or Hero
In my opinion, a villain. Hero of the prophecy or not, it doesn't change what he did.
Luke was full on down to murder a 12 year old Percy. He told those bear brothers to eat Annabeth and Grover in SOM. And then also tricking Annabeth under the sky in TTC.
The dude mentioned destroying camp and killing demigods in pretty much every book. Honestly, his speech at the end of TLT always gave me the impression that he was more mad about doing a quest somebody else had done before than literally anything else. Never believed that he cared about other demigods.
And then he went to Annabeth, after previously torturing and attempting to murder her, to ask her to run away? Like, that is a grown man, he want to run away, he should've done it himself.
Sorry, this turned into a rant. I just reread the books and was reminded of how much I hate him.
"But he had a trauma—" I don't care.
I hate that guy. Villain all the way.
This isn't even including the "Did you love me?" thing, because Luke’s character is so inconsistent, I don't know what to think about that.
