Happy Friday y'all! 😊 What are you planning this weekend? . . . It's been a while since I actually thought about a flatlay, but thinking about more photos last night made me think about quotes in flatlays. We all like a motivational one, or maybe one that sparks memories or shows us that we're not alone. So here's one in today's photo. . . . The straight and narrow is not the only path to success! It's from #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amuroso. And I think it describes my working life pretty well. . . . It feels that we often think there's only one way to make a success out of yourself, constantly moving up, getting pay-rises and buying more expensive things. But most of the time we end up going up and down, sometimes changing the path completely. And it doesn't mean we failed when we changed careers and ended up at rock bottom. . . . These changes make us stronger, they teach us more, we learn new things and as such we're constantly improving who we are. And yes, money can dwindle, but no one can take your skills and knowledge away from you. And who knows, one day they may help you reach that top. I hope you know where that is. . . . And so, let's try to give ourselves some credit. Think of a thing you're really proud of achieving. And whenever you want to compare yourself to a friend, a colleague, an influencer and feel shit about it, remember that achievement. You made that happen and you're brilliant. Wednesday already! My mum is coming to visit us for a few days tomorrow as it's nearly my eldest. Birthday( can't believe he's going to be 12 🙃) lots planned can't wait.
