chimes, reverie, elder, and offering~
Chimes: What sounds are your favorite?
I love the sound of the ocean at night. You wouldn’t think that it would sound any different than during the day, but somehow it sounds more lonely. Also the sounds of katydids and cicadas on a summer afternoon,a particular tone some singers hit that I can’t describe adequately yet,and the very low sound of a news channel or talk show on television in a separate room late at night.
Reverie: Think of somewhere otherwordly you wish to be within, what is it like there?
A dream. I’m sure some people are sick of hearing me describe the same dream over and over again for 5 years, but it was a beautiful place. Vast, rolling hills, with tall, golden grass swaying with a gentle breeze. The sun setting behind the mountains, a long dirt path and a winding river, candles speckling the hills, lighting up as night comes, and finally the vortex of water on the other side of a town built from the stone of a chasm. It’s tranquil, serene, and I have a dear friend by my side.
Elder: What do you expect to be like in your elder years?
I don’t envision myself in my elder years.
Offering: How do you show others you are fond of them?
Looking out for things that remind me of them, or things that they like.
