The Captain’s words are still ringing in her ears. SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it’s been taken over by HYDRA. What had been a normal day at the Triskelion was gone. The betrayal and hurt and self hate that welled up within her as she listened to the Captain’s speech was pushed aside for the pure white-hot shimmering rage that took over her now as she fought the people she’d lived with, laughed with, almost died with and for. 

She finished off the HYDRA agent in front of her before turning and pointing her gun at the next person only to see it was Angie. “Who’s side are you on?” She asked not lowering her weapon and pulling the knife out of the dead agent’s neck. She hated how this had made her not even able to trust the people she’d considered friends. Focusing on not giving any idea of how messed up she was was a lot better than considering if she really could shoot the other woman, and the reasons why that was.

Instantly, Ana began to shake her head. “No, don’t apologize. I meant it. You are like family to us now, and you will always have a place here. I know what it is – how important it can sometimes be – to have a way to build… a new family for yourself. Sometimes we need that, and I would be glad to be counted as your family. Don’t apologize, please.”

Through the years Camryn had become clever with ways of cleaning up after a fresh kill. She made it a point to perfect her technique and had successfully done it in times of need when she was nowhere near one of her safe houses. Covered in blood, the blonde saw a glowing neon sign for a diner in the city. It would be after closing time for the majority of places so she stood a good chance of fooling whoever was inside that she had been injured so she could come inside and clean up. Knocking frantically on the front door she hoped somebody would allow her in and offer her kindness in her moment of need. “Please, if somebody is in there, I am in great need of help.” Her German accent was still thick but she was getting better at Americanizing it, as they say.

Well, it seemed that the woman was starting to wake up. She was on a bed in SHIELD room of his SHIELD base. She was an interesting discovery as he was certain his grandma had a photograph of her younger days with this women in it. He smiled politely. “Hey, are you alright? How are you feeling exactly?”

Peggy was in the backyard, poking around at her rose bushes. Despite her love of working - and she truly missed working at Shield -, she quite enjoyed upkeeping their garden in her retirement. They were expecting a visit from their youngest granddaughter, Scarlett, along side her new boyfriend.

Daniel was just getting home from the golf course after spending the day with Jack. In their old age, they’d discovered golfing to be the most relaxing way to get caught up on each other’s lives at the moment. He settled his bag into the garage, heading into the house. “Peg? Angel? Is our little hummingbird here yet?” He hoped he wasn’t late, because the look Peggy gave him for being so... Well he preferred not to see it if possible.

DAY 11: favorite blogs from a lesser known fandom

@3cforacupofsugar needs more appreciation, I feel, because she and her Angie are great. Her blog’s been a staple across my dash for quite some time, and I don’t intend to change that anytime soon.

Also, @jarvisity is so amazing, and I hate that his Edwin gets less attention than his John, because seriously y’all both muses are equally amazing in this writers hands!
