In the studio today working away on my project. I decided to follow up on some advice I had gotten in my tutorial and I tried recreating my bed, after getting out of it, in paper making it look simple (which actually turned out to be a lot harder then I thought it would be :’D ) but making it resemble the photo of my bed as much as possible.

Workshop Cont. : Working with 3D
I continued my project of making the flower from the 3D workshop and found myself enjoying the process quite a lot I ended up not painting the back of the petals with latex but instead with red acrylic as I didn't want to layer too much latex on it at the time in case I needed to go back to the sowing machine.
I made the decision to leave one petal out of the flower as I wanted to have it on the floor or to the side of the piece. So to bring the rest of the 4 pieces together I sowed hems onto the petals so wire could be threaded through and I can position the petals however I wanted. I had left some wire hanging out so I could tie them together. I found this to be quite a painful process as the wire kept poking me and I didn't exactly want that so I decided to cover the wire in the centre with hot glue which ended up working out quite well and gave the flower the support it needed.
For the stem I had originally wanted to paint it green but the rope was really long and I wasn't even too sure if I wanted to use it so I decided against it. I doubled out the rope giving a thicker appearance and made a hanged mans knot at both ends so it would be easier to hang it. I found the rope to be far too lose and wanted it to have a it more form so I decided to get some wire and warp it around the rope tightly which really helped.
Finally I connected the last petal to a piece of wire which hung below the flower.
:: TONGUE :: For my layout of my project I want the tongue molds and the chicken wire tongue to be floating above my work space so that I can show that this is what got me into my project! I have the tongues spinning around in this video just to show what both sides look like! I’ll post some still pictures in a few! Enjoy!
