For the upcoming melvika animation, I decided to model and rig Sevika's arm instead of 2D animating it. Haven't really used my 3D experience in previous animations so I'm glad that her arm gave me a good opportunity to do so!

I'll mess with some NPR shading/post-processing later for the final look. This is the SFW version of the rig; a friend gave me ideas for some creative arm mods (lol) that I added in the NSFW version (on patreon like usual!)

I used a mix of parenting the meshes directly to the bones without deform and for certain parts (the arms, legs, and cape), I just added a few loop cuts to the preexisting mesh and edited the automatic weights.

It also looks like the simplest way I could’ve done it.

It’s not shown here but I also hooked up the base, cape, and broom textures to (SEPARATE) drivers that controlled the opacity so I could hide and show them at will!

Most importantly, though… I DIDN’T NEED A TUTORIAL FOR THIS ONE!!! I combined what I was doing before the tutorials with my knowledge afterwards and tried a few new things and all went well in the end!

Anyway I am still ECSTATIC with how this turned out!!! 3D animation is a lot more fun than I thought it was too… (and maybe I’m starting to hate blender a little less?)

If I have the energy today (strong IF) I would love to try modeling Paper Mache Girl too.

(I’ve also been pacing around my room since I realized if I can fully rig the model AND do it easily I might possibly hypothetically be able to do a 3D series of BBtH? I mean I sound insane but consider)

hi, i just wanted to say that i really like your work - it's cool how you've adapted the characters into these new roles whilst keeping the dynamics similar between them. I like this version of Zooble a lot but your prima donna Gangle is my favourite.

I made Marin a 3D model! 🦈

It’s been way over a year since Twelve’s 3D model release, and I thought I'd make my most popular character next. Granted, I learned a thing or two since the last time I modeled a character; this was still definitely challenging, but also so much fun!

Not sure what I’ll do with a Marin model. I always wanted one because who doesn’t want to see their characters in 3D? Maybe we’ll see animations of her in the future. 👀

This model was created, textured, rigged, and animated by me on Blockbench. It is officially published and available for free download on Sketchfab!
