Alright look, I've been out of the Hetalia fandom for awhile now and I've seen some weird shit. But what the fuck is a 3p???

Me:...Your ideas and character development aren't bad, but don't you think creating a third player is a little much...? What I actually mean: Me:(Wait, I already have enough trouble keeping track of TWO sets of characters, let alone THREE of them! Aaah!)

help! i dont know what the fuck a 3P is and im scared its one of those things again that weebs are trying to make popular...

Hi there Nonny! Oh I had a similar breakdown a few weeks ago, so I guess I sort of have a grasp on what 3P is.

You know that “2P” stands for Second Player, right? When in fighting games both players pick the same character, the second player gets a different design, “another colour” of the same character so it’s easier to keep track of who is playing which one.

There are fighting games when there can be up to four players, so there are four different designs for one character.

So, I guess fandom kind of ran with this idea. And I don’t mind it that much? But I don’t think it will ever be a fandom-wide thing as 2P is, and I’m gonna tell why.

2Ps sort of have a basis in “canon”, as in, in Hima’s designs. We have the Axis designs, we have the Nyo!Allies and Prussia. Fandom sort of has a general handle over these characters…. but they are still different.They can be simple sadistic bastards, or fail!villains, or dark sides of the nations, to actual cupcakes. Everyone can go with the 2Ps as much as they like, and have fun with them.

With 3P, there is not even a tiny little common ground. Nothing, nada. I had seen detailed alternative universe being 3P, I had seen 3P being a punk!AU basically, I had seen 3P being basically candyland, and these are just the ones that come to my mind.

So unless something earth-shattering happens, I don’t think 3P will be as big of a thing as 2P is. But I do agree it can be fun, coming up with more designs, more alternate universes, more… “players” of the characters.

So I think it’s harmless, Nonny. Let everyone have their fun. And if a small band of people group together to come up with their own 3P or 4P or whateverP Hetalia… more power to them! It’s always fun to gush to each other about AUs and OCs isn’t it?

3p!America’s human name is Ame Foster Jones. Most 3p’s are named after the first letters of their nations name, So his name is Ame. 3p!America is a stuck up. He always thinks he is better than others, and worries about himself and the person he is swooning over. He hates people that get in his way, and will try to get rid of them. 3p!America can sometime be caring, but he hates anyone who get on his bad side. He’s posh, and ignorant. Ame is pretty wealthy, and acts like a rich woman that has no heart in anything. Ame looks just like his other Versions, but he has green eyes and can appear a bit shorter than his other versions. He can appear somewhat girly to other people. 3p!America’s Hobbies include shopping, Drinking wine and going out.
